About the Role

We are seeking a motivated individual to join our company as a Manager, Supply Chain Management (SCM). The Manager, Supply Chain will be responsible for leading all aspects of the order to delivery and logistics planning activities for the Smyrna Site. This role will develop the hiring and training plans for your staff which may consist of Analysts, Technologists and Supervisors. Team members who will ensure logistics operations and planned production is achieved for AESC US.

This role will oversee the planning for the warehouse design, material flow and inbound network design. The role will also oversee the selection process for 3PL / Freight Forwarder and Foreign Trade Zone service providers who will be part of the overall SCM team. This role will work closely with the regional/global SCM team on all SCM activities.

The Manager, Supply Chain will oversee all Supply Chain activity including production planning, daily inbound and outbound shipments to ensure on-time deliveries to our customer. The Manager, Supply Chain will also monitor all SCM KPI performance for Cell production. When performance KPI's are not achieved, the Manager, Supply Chain will be responsible for developing appropriate countermeasure activities and confirming re-occurrence prevention is in place.

The Manager, Supply Chain will also be responsible for the development of the annual Logistics budget, monthly performance tracking, financial forecasting and leading capacity studies for production plan proposals to US/GL Management. The role will be the key site lead for SAP (S/4 Hana) implementation and integration for the ERP system that manages AESCs production planning and inventory management.

What You Will Do
  • Meet regularly with the leadership team to discuss business operations, monthly goals, and review key performance indicator.
  • Meet weekly with Global Business planning function to track the progress of the business plans from a sales and operations standpoint.
  • Lead and manage all aspects of supply chain operations, from order processing to final delivery, ensuring the timely and cost-effective flow of materials and products.
  • Develop and implement strategies for warehouse design, material flow, and inbound network optimization.
  • Select and manage 3PL, Freight Forwarders, and Foreign Trade Zone service providers.
  • Oversee production planning and logistics operations, ensuring alignment with customer delivery schedules and quality standards.
  • Monitor and analyze SCM KPIs for Cell production, initiating corrective actions as necessary.
  • Develop and manage the annual logistics budget, track monthly performance, and provide financial forecasts.
  • Lead capacity studies for production planning and make recommendations to senior management.
  • Serve as the key liaison for SAP (S/4 Hana) implementation, ensuring the ERP system supports all supply chain functions effectively.
  • Collaborate with IT and other departments to streamline reporting processes and enhance system efficiencies.
  • Complete other duties as assigned

Qualifications
What You Need
  • Bachelor's degree in business, logistics, or a related field from an accredited institution, or equivalent experience in lieu of degree.
  • Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in supply chain or logistics management, with previous experience in a leadership role preferred.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
  • Proven experience in managing large-scale supply chain operations in a manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to collaborate globally in a complex, matrixed organization.
  • Extensive knowledge of supply chain and logistics management within a high-tech manufacturing environment.
  • Strong understanding of inventory control processes, statistical analysis, and forecasting methodologies.
  • Proficient in SAP or similar ERP systems, with a focus on production planning and inventory management.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with a demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to analyze complex data and develop actionable insights to improve supply chain operations.
  • Understands and follows all standards of IATF16949 and VDA 6.3 quality standards. (Training and awareness will be provided for those who are not familiar with these standards)
  • Understands and follows all standards of ISO14001 environmental standards. (Training and awareness will be provided for those who are not familiar with these standards)
  • Occasional domestic and international travel required, up to 25%.
What is "Nice to Have"?
  • Experience within the EV or ESS sectors.
  • Master's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Supply management certification and automotive industry experience.
  • FTZ compliance/management experience.

Work Environment
