Job Title: Inspector/Installer

Location: Brooklyn Park, MN

Comp: $25-30/hour

Travel: 50-80%

The Inspector position is responsible for confirming that fabricated parts meet requirements using various measurement techniques. Inspections will take place at supplier sites in the United States and in-house. The Inspector submits inspection reports according to a documented process. This position will also be responsible for the fabrication of vessel internals as required to meet deadlines and to fill in time when not performing inspection duties along with the install of these components when at supplier sites.



Responsibilities

    Inspection of fabricated vessels and skidded systems at supplier sites
  • Installation of internal vessel components and assemblies at supplier sites
  • Submits inspection, photos, and other reports as required for each inspection
  • Maintain good working relationships with supplier quality control personnel
  • In-house inspection of fabricated parts
  • In-house fabrication of PVC internal vessel components and assembly


Qualifications

  • Ability to use inspection related measurement devices
  • Understanding of fabrication drawings
  • Understanding of inspection processes
  • Must be able to use a computer for creation of reports and data entry required.
  • Must maintain valid Driver's License, passport and be able to rent a car
  • High School Diploma
  • 2 + years inspection of fabricated steel parts or related experience

Physical and Mental requirements:

  • Must be able to do the following in a safe and effective manner.
  • Must be able to climb, ascend, and descend ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, poles, and industrial equipment, using feet and legs and/or hands and arms.
  • Must be able to enter tanks through a manway during fabrication.
  • Must be able to reach and extend hands and arms in all directions.
  • Must be able to stand and walk for sustained periods of time.
  • Must be able to push, pull, lift, bend, and stoop for sustained periods of time.
  • Must be able to use upper extremities to move objects and equipment with steady force.
  • Must be able to occasionally work in temperatures above 100 degrees for periods of time, more than one hour.
