The Credentialing Specialist is the subject matter expert in our organization for clinical staff licensing and enrolling providers with commercial insurance, managed care organizations, and other identified plans, in addition to supporting internship programs throughout the organization. Job Responsibilities Overview:
- Creates, maintains, monitors, and verifies all licenses and credentials, provider enrollments, and credentialing websites including the CAQH Provider Data Portal
- Assists clinical staff with obtaining required credentials and then enrolls clinicians in Medicaid, Medicare, and other insurances as appropriate based on license type
- Leads the application and/or renewal process for participation in HRSA, Washington Health Corps, and other student loan repayment programs
- Completes and submits required reports, including the National Practitioner Data Bank, and provides updated information to agency departments as enrollment or credential statuses change
- Maintains compliance with state and federal regulations, policies, and procedures regarding licensure or credentials and updates agency processes as needed when changes occur
- Implements and monitors agency internship programs, including working with university departments to understand their internship requirements, matching interns with appropriate opportunities within our agency, and promoting internship opportunities with universities and other partners

Physical Requirements:This position normally requires the physical demands of standing, walking, bending, lifting or performing other work requiring low physical exertion, as well as keyboard fingering, talking, hearing and adequate vision on a regular basis to perform the job requirements. These physical demands are required up to 90% of the time.
Non-Physical Requirements: Education
- High school diplomaor GED required
Experience
- 3 years' experience in medical or behavioral health administration, credentialing, or an equivalent combination of formal education, related skills, and administrative experience required
- Familiarity with clinical licenses and licensing requirements with the Washington State Department of Health preferred

Licensure, Registration, Certification
- Valid Washington State driver's license and minimum required liability insurance for WA State
- Must be deemed insurable as determined by Catholic Charities liability insurance provider
Employment is conditional upon:
- Being cleared by criminal background check and fingerprinting when required
Work Schedule & Location: Monday-Friday 8am-5pm, with the option to be on-site in either our Yakima or Richland offices
Wage Range:$27.00 - $33.00 per hour depending on experience
