About the role/team:

The Lean Expert will play a key role in the identification, analysis, and improvement of business processes across the Global Services Organization (GSO). This role will be responsible for driving operational efficiency, enhancing quality, reducing costs, and improving customer satisfaction through the application of Lean methodologies. The Lean Expert will work collaboratively with other team members, subject matter experts, and stakeholders to implement process improvements and foster a culture of continuous improvement.

How you will make an impact:

  • Process Analysis and Improvement: Analyze existing business processes to identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and areas for improvement. This will include documenting current processes through process mapping.

  • Lean Methodology Implementation: Apply Lean principles and tools (e.g., value stream mapping, 5S, Kaizen, etc.) to streamline workflows and eliminate waste.

  • Data Analysis: Gather and analyze data to measure process performance, identify trends, and track the impact of process improvement initiatives.

  • Solution Development: Design and implement solutions to improve process efficiency and effectiveness.

  • Change Management: Collaborate with the team to communicate and implement process changes effectively to ensure successful adoption across the organization.

  • Continuous Improvement: Promote a mindset of ongoing process optimization and employee engagement in improvement initiatives.

  • Collaboration: Work closely with other team members including Process Analysts, Data Analysts, Subject Matter Experts, and Stakeholder Representatives.

  • Monitoring and Evaluation: Track the impact of process improvements and make adjustments as needed.

  • Contribute to Team Meetings: Participate in regular team meetings to discuss progress, challenges, and next steps.

Experience you will bring:

  • 3-5 years of experience in applying Lean methodologies in a business environment.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to collect, analyze, and interpret data related to process performance.

  • Experience with process mapping and documentation.

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills.

  • Experience with change management and implementing new processes.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Success Measures:

  • The Lean Expert's success will be measured by improvements in the following areas:

    • Improved efficiency through reduced process cycle times and increased output.

    • Enhanced quality through reduced errors, defects, and rework.

    • Cost savings by eliminating unnecessary costs associated with inefficient processes.

    • Increased customer satisfaction through streamlined processes and reduced wait times.

    • Increased employee engagement in process improvement initiatives.

  • Key partners will include the following:

    • GSO functional leaders

    • GSO Subject Matter Experts (SMEs)

    • Senior functional leaders outside of GSO whose organizations may be impacted by process changes

This position will require a strong understanding of business operations and the ability to think strategically.

The base pay range represents the anticipated low and high end of the pay range for this position. Actual pay rates will vary and will be based on various factors, such as your qualifications, skills, competencies, and proficiency for the role. Base pay is one component of WEX's total compensation package. Most sales positions are eligible for commission under the terms of an applicable plan. Non-sales roles are typically eligible for a quarterly or annual bonus based on their role and applicable plan.
