GL Accountant - San Leandro, CA

The GL Accountant is responsible for assisting in the company's accounting functions, which includes performing month-end financial close and with daily duties and special projects. Must have the ability to strong attention to detail and time management skills. Additionally, ability to work under pressure while managing strict deadlines are required

• Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts and ensure accuracy and completeness of accounting records.
• Assist in the month-end and year-end closing processes, including journal entries, accruals, prepaids, cost center reviews and reconciliations.
• Analyze and reconcile general ledger and bank accounts, identifying and resolving discrepancies.
• Support the accruals and accounts payable functions, ensuring accurate and complete accruals are recorded during month-end.
• Provide support for other areas within the Corporate Accounting department as necessary. Including intercompany account analysis, the purchasing card program and group reporting requirements.
• Assist with special projects as assigned.
• Prepare audit requests from external auditors and support other external requests.

• BA/BS in Accounting, Finance or related discipline.
• 2-3 years of related experience and/or training.
• Must have advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word.
• Excellent organizational, interpersonal communication, analytical, problem-solving skills, and initiative needed.
• Demonstrated ability to work in fast- paced multi-task environment and work under pressure to meet critical deadlines.
• Ability to plan and work as part of a team.
• Experience with SAP and Concur are a plus.

Salary: $68184 to $85286 / year
