The Outpatient Therapist provides individual, group, and family therapy services to clients with mental health conditions in a hospital-affiliated outpatient program. The therapist is responsible for conducting assessments, developing individualized treatment plans, delivering evidence-based therapeutic interventions, and coordinating care with internal and external providers. The therapist supports a trauma-informed, recovery-oriented environment and works collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to meet the unique needs of each patient.

Licenses and Credentials

Social Worker, Licensed Clinical [LCSW - State License] preferred

Social Worker, Licensed Independent Clinical [LICSW - State License] preferred

Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist [State License] preferred

Licensed/license-eligible Psychologist- preferred



Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct comprehensive intake assessments, including substance use and mental health evaluations.

  • Develop individualized, strength-based treatment plans in collaboration with clients.

  • Provide individual, group, and family therapy using evidence-based practices (e.g., CBT, DBT, Motivational Interviewing, relapse prevention).

  • Facilitate psychoeducational and support groups for clients and their families.

  • Monitor client progress, revise treatment plans as needed, and complete timely clinical documentation.

  • Coordinate care with internal providers (e.g., psychiatrists, case managers) and external community resources.

  • Participate actively in multidisciplinary treatment team meetings, case consultations, and supervision.

  • Maintain compliance with all hospital, state, and federal regulations (including HIPAA and 42 CFR Part 2).

  • Support a culture of diversity, equity, and inclusion in clinical practice.
