The Department of Surgery at Henry Ford Health is seeking to hire a fellowship-trained Surgical Breast Oncologist to join our dynamic group. The candidate will join a robust Breast Division with a high-volume practice in all aspects of breast surgical oncology. As a member of the Henry Ford Medical Group and Henry Ford Health Cancer service line, the candidate will be supported within an innovative, academic, and patient-centered environment. * S/he will be an engaged member of a multidisciplinary cancer care team including collaboration with Medical Oncology, Radiation Oncology, Supportive Oncology, Pathology, Radiology, Genetics, Precision Medicine, and Clinical Trials Divisions and Departments. * The position is based at multiple regional Henry Ford Health facilities but will include a dual responsibility at Henry Ford Hospital and the Brigitte Harris Cancer Pavilion. * Candidate will be responsible for building and augmenting the surgical breast oncology program at a Henry Ford Health regional site. * The candidate will contribute to advancing patient's comprehensive experience by participating in disease-specific multidisciplinary cancer clinics, tumors boards, clinical trials, and translational research opportunities. * Academic appointment opportunities are available through our Henry Ford Health + Michigan State University Health Sciences partnership, as well as Wayne State University. The Division of Surgical Breast Oncology at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit is a leader in multidisciplinary, patient-centered surgical oncology, playing an integral part of the Henry Ford Health Cancer Service Line, one of the state's premier cancer center programs. In January 2021, Henry Ford Health opened the Brigitte Harris Cancer Pavilion, a new 187,000 square foot outpatient cancer center in Detroit, MI, that serves as the anchor for world-class cancer care provided throughout Henry Ford locations in southeast and southcentral Michigan. Completed a Surgical Breast Oncology fellowship and be Board-Certified or Board-Eligible in General Surgery * M.D. or equivalent who are American Board of Surgery eligible or certified in general surgery * Ability to obtain and maintain a Michigan medical license * Ideal candidates will have a strong experience and proven track record of outstanding patient care and be committed to expanding a patient-focused, comprehensive multidisciplinary surgical breast oncology program * A track record of excellence in teaching is also highly desired Additional Information
