Local Area Network (LAN) Lead Security Clearance:Top Secret Job Location: Remote Security + CE Required Overview: Nationwide IT Services, NIS, seeks a Local Area Network (LAN) Lead for a potential opportunity. The objective is to oversee a team dedicated to facilitating both wired and wireless LAN operations by offering skills and knowledge in telecommunications engineering and the operational support of existing and emerging technologies for the Local Area Network (LAN). The LAN Lead will: Operate under general supervision, formulating the requirements of a product from its initial stages to its finalization. Create specifications for straightforward to moderately complex issues. Collaborate with the PM, COTRs, and government user representatives to guarantee precise solutions and user satisfaction regarding technical concerns. Key Responsibilities: The Contractor shall assist in coordinating with J6 and other agencies on the following: Assist the Network Engineering team with equipment, lifecycle planning, and installation, as well as the development of technical specifications for the procurement of Enterprise LAN equipment Coordinate with the Network Engineering team for the placement and cabling of LAN equipment within the DLA enclave Development of market research for new equipment and providing recommendations to the Government POC Provide input on LAN designs and architecture as required Perform lab testing of LAN equipment Provide knowledge transfer to the NTS-LAN government staff Track assigned projects, provide regular updates to the Task Order Project Manager (TOPM) and Government POC Attend meetings regarding LAN support and assigned projects Effectively task, track, monitor, and report on tickets, projects, and special assignments within their area of responsibility Required Qualifications (Must-Haves): Five (5) years of progressive LAN experience, including at least two projects in technical areas included in the Statement of Work Task Area 1 Section 4.1 a. At least one project must have occurred within the past three (3) years. Required Certifications: Relevant certification from a nationally recognized technical authority. DoD Approved 8570 Baseline Certification: Category IAT Level II Computing Environment: CCSE NGX, CCNA, CCNP, CCSP, SCNA, CCSE NGX Plus NG with AI, CCMSE NG with AI, CSMSE NG with AI Plus VSX, NSA, ESE Sensitivity Level IT-I - Critical Sensitive Requires T5/SSBI Required Experience: Performing the Following Tasks/Responsibilities: Performed planning and installation of equipment, as well as developed technical specifications for the procurement of Enterprise LAN equipment.
