1st Shift General Assembly, Powder Coat - St. Johns

We have one opening for a full time, permanent Powder Coat Assembler at our St. Johns Site. The responsibility of our Powder Coaters is to perform tasks required to build a Manitou Pontoon boat. These tasks need to be completed with a high level of attention to detail to make sure all of our products meet the expectations of our customers.

Hours: Monday-Thursday 6:00AM-4:30PM

Hourly Rate: $18.63 (eligible for performance increase after 90 days)

YOU'LL HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO:

* Work with a small team to help with different steps of the powder coat process (media blasting in booth and blast cabinets, hanging parts on paint racks, pushing racks to paint/prime booths and in and out of cure ovens, etc).

* Follow installation guidelines put in place by engineering.

* Follow day-to-day instructions given by the supervisor and team leader.

* Cross train in multiple areas throughout the plant.

* Communicate issues to team leader or supervisor.

* Act as a part of line side quality inspection throughout the powder coat process.

* Follow all safety protocols and procedures as trained upon.

YOU'LL THRIVE IN THIS ROLE IF YOU HAVE THE FOLLOWING SKILLS, EXPERIENCE AND COMPETENCIES:

Required:

* 2+ years of recent manufacturing experience.

* Knowledge of basic hand tools.

* Ability to read a tape measure.

* Ability to read and follow work instructions.

* Regularly required to talk and hear; and use hands to manipulate objects or controls.

* Regularly required to stand, walk, bend, squat, push, and pull.

* Required to lift 50+ pounds, and work at an elevation of 3 feet or greater.

Preferred:

* Demonstrated job stability with regular and reliable attendance.

* Boat building experience.
