Crisis Therapist - PRN

Job Summary:

Join a dynamic behavioral health team where your clinical skills and compassion truly make a difference. As a PRN Crisis Therapist, you will provide timely and effective psychiatric evaluations for patients in the Emergency Department (ED), guide appropriate interventions, and ensure safe, therapeutic dispositions. You'll play a critical role in shaping our crisis program while working in close collaboration with psychiatrists, ED staff, and community partners.



Key Responsibilities:



  • Conduct prompt and thorough psychiatric evaluations for ED patients.



  • Collaborate with the behavioral health team to support the development and ongoing improvement of the crisis intervention program.



  • Determine and coordinate patient disposition to the least restrictive, most appropriate care setting.



  • Communicate clearly and professionally with other crisis team members, both verbally and in writing.



  • Accurately document clinical findings and necessary financial data.



  • Build and maintain effective working relationships with ED staff and psychiatrists.



  • Participate actively in staff meetings and contribute to team-based care.



  • Perform additional duties related to the provision of social work services as assigned.





Educational Requirements:



  • Master's Degree in Social Work (MSW) required



  • Education in group therapy theory and modalities preferred (evaluated on a case-by-case basis)





Licensure & Certification:



  • LCSW preferred



  • Certification in Addiction Counseling required





Experience:



  • Minimum of one year of experience in mental health care and addiction treatment required

Salary Range: Minimum $1.00/hour - Maximum $1,000.00/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility.

In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
