The Senior Specialist - Trainer will be responsible for helping to establish training criteria and standards within New Business. The individual will work directly with both new and existing employees in the field and in the office to help employees meet their training requirements. The Senior Specialist Trainer, under the guidance of management, will be responsible for continuously improving the New Business Services training program in support of the development of our staff.This position requires a "hands-on" technically qualified contributor with appropriate utility experience. The Senior Specialist - Trainer will be responsible for supporting the development and execution of the New Business training program for all New Business employees. The individual will help assess employees' electric and gas job knowledge, develop training material, and adjust their methods based on employee development. Must work directly with various New Business employees and under the direction of a 2H to develop, coordinate, implement, and conduct training.

- Help to develop and support the training program for O&R New Business Services.
- Maintains a thorough knowledge and understanding of Company and departmental policies, and adheres to and upholds their implementation and enforcement.
- Maintains accurate, up-to-date-records of employees training progress, performance, and attendance by using the available tools and technology.
- Familiar with national, state, and local electrical and construction codes, Company policies, tariffs, procedures, and construction standards relative to customer installations and Company facilities, including tariffs, entitlements, and the Yellow, Red, and Blue Books.
- Ensure all employees are scheduled and guided on training requirements along with maintaining a safe environment.
- Help develop New Business how-to guides, job aids, and other training material as needed.
- Manage training records and communicate with employees to ensure training is completed within targeted timeframes.
- Develop, implement, and maintain a train the trainer program to ensure Substation/Relay Union trainers are properly trained and up-to-date with current training methods and material.
- Perform day-to-day technical and administrative tasks associated with O&Rs New Business Services training program to ensure compliance and adherence to all Federal, State, and Company standards.
- Provides feedback from a trainer perspective to help develop employees along with performing other related duties, as required.
- Actively participates in supporting regulatory programs within New Business, including the Municipal Streetlight program.

Required Education/Experience
- High School Diploma/GED and 5 years Operations or Maintenance experience in the electric power industry preferable with substation operations experience.
- Bachelor's Degree and 3 years Operations or Maintenance experience in the electric power industry preferable with substation operations experience.
- Master's Degree and 2 years Operations or Maintenance experience in the electric power industry preferable with substation operations experience.
Preferred Education/Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in engineering and 3 years Operations or Maintenance experience in the electric power industry preferable with substation operations experience.
- Master's Degree and 2 years Operations or Maintenance experience in the electric power industry preferable with substation operations experience.
Relevant Work Experience
- Must have experience in project/program management, electric and/or gas service installations, and/or service-related construction, required.
- Must demonstrate a working knowledge of electric and gas transmission/distribution systems, required.
- Must be well-organized, detail-oriented and flexible to handle multiple assignments and meet deadlines, required.
- Must have demonstrated ability to interpret and adhere to specifications and work procedures required.
- Must have excellent oral and written communication, presentation, and public speaking skills, required.
- Must have the ability to interact with people and stakeholders at various levels in the Company, required.
- Previous experience training and designing training programs is preferred.
- Prior leadership or supervisory experience is preferred.
