Position Purpose
|
The Manager of ECMO Program will be responsible for the development, implementation, and management of Renown's Extracorporeal Membrane Oxygenation (ECMO) program. This individual will lead the strategic, clinical, and operational aspects of the program to ensure the highest quality of patient care, adherence to best practices, and regulatory compliance. The Manager of ECMO Program will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including physicians, nurses, perfusionists, respiratory therapists, and administrators, to drive program success and patient outcomes.

Nature and Scope
|
The Manager of ECMO Program serves as a leader, coordinator, and innovator, ensuring the seamless integration of ECMO services within the hospital system. This includes overseeing clinical operations, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and fostering collaboration among medical teams. Scope of the Role: 1. Strategic Leadership - Growth of the ECMO program, aligning it with hospital goals, and ensuring long-term sustainability. Responsible for managing regular cadence meetings with clinical and administrative teams. 2. Clinical Oversight - Supervising ECMO procedures, patient selection, safety protocols, and quality improvement initiatives. 3. Education & Training - Developing and implementing staff training programs, ensuring competency in ECMO management. 4. Operational & Financial Management - Managing budgets, resource allocation, and cost-effective care delivery. 5. Interdisciplinary Collaboration - Serving as the liaison between different medical and administrative teams, fostering a team-based approach to ECMO care. 6. Research & Innovation - Staying up to date with ECMO advancements, promoting research, and contributing to clinical advancements in ECMO therapy. 7. Clinical Involvement - This role requires a multifaceted leader who can balance patient care, team development, and operational efficiency while driving innovation in ECMO services. This role does provide direct patient care.

Education:
|
Must have working-level knowledge of the English language, including reading, writing, and speaking English. Bachelor's degree in nursing, respiratory therapy, perfusion, healthcare administration, or a related field required (master's degree preferred).

Experience:
|
Minimum of 5 years of experience in critical care, cardiovascular services, or perfusion, with at least 2 years of ECMO experience.

License(s):
|
Ability to obtain and maintain a State of Nevada Board Registered Nurse License, Registered Respiratory Therapist Licenses, or Certified Perfusion License required at time of hire.

Certification(s):
|
Current AHA BLS and ACLS certification required at time of hire.

Computer / Typing:
|
Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Teams, and Word and have the ability to use the computer for online learning requirements for job-specific competencies, access online forms and policies, complete online benefits enrollment, etc.
