Join Visa- A Network Working for Everyone. This position will provide Program Management & Business Operations leadership for Ecosystem & Operational Risk Product Development (EOR PD) organization. EOR PD is a part of Value Added Services Product Development. It is responsible for product development for Global Risk organization. These products help to maintain Visa's Risk posture and enable secure growth for Visa. We are seeking a seasoned leader who will partner closely with the engineering leader for EOR PD, to help run the organization efficiently and effectively. Key Responsibilities
- Build and continuously improve the operating system to effectively manage and scale operations for a 260+ engineering organization. Drive innovation in processes, data-driven performance management and drive 10X productivity improvements through the adoption of Gen AI.
- Product Partnership:Collaborate closely with Product to understand and align on vision, goals, and OKRs. Develop delivery roadmaps that align with business objectives and priorities, while considering resource constraints.
- Engineering Partnership: Collaborate closely with engineering teams to provide product requirements, manage programs, enable data-driven performance management.
- Influence product partners and engineering leaders on various aspects such as product roadmap, resourcing, workforce plans, and leveraging Gen AI.
- Reporting and executive communication: Develop, evolve and deliver reports (e.g. portfolio reviews, status reports) across various levels of the organization, including C-level executives. Conduct quarterly business reviews, execution plan reviews and other rhythm of business meetings, in conjunction with engineering leaders.
- Stakeholder Engagement:Forge strong partnerships with Product and other stakeholders to effectively deliver on organizational objectives.
- Team Management:Lead and develop a cross-functional, global team of 12-15 senior members. Key functional areas include program management, technical product management, executive communications & reporting.
- Culture Building:Foster a culture of innovation, ownership (founder mindset) thought leadership, strategic thinking, data-driven approach to problem solving and performance management, proactiveness, learning, curiosity, challenging status quo and accountability. Ensure strong execution, policy adherence, and process efficiencies, reflecting Visa Leadership Principles.
- Program & Portfolio Management:Provide leadership and governance for a portfolio of complex, high-impact, and high-visibility programs. Ensure all programs are delivered within scope, schedule, and cost, and in compliance with policy requirements. Proactively manage and mitigate risks across the portfolio. Drive the adoption and maturity of Agile practices and Jira Align across the portfolio.
- Planning and Budgeting:Develop quarterly and annual plans for new initiatives.
- Operational Management:Oversee financial, compliance, and governance requirements to ensure smooth operations.
- Employee Engagement:Lead initiatives for broader employee communications and engagement.
- Global Collaboration:Manage program management teams and collaborate with engineering teams based in the US (Foster City, Austin), Bangalore. Demonstrate flexibility to collaborate across time zones.
This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office two days a week, Tuesdays and Wednesdays with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% of the time based on business needs. Basic Qualifications:
- 12+ years of work experience with a Bachelor's Degree, or at least 10 years of work experience with an advanced degree (e.g., MBA).
Preferred Qualifications:
- 15+ years of experience with a Bachelor's Degree and an advanced degree (e.g. MBA)
- Proven ability to align product development goals with business OKRs, and to define strategies and governance frameworks to meet these goals.
- Experience collaborating with executive leaders across functions (especially Engineering & Product Management) to drive alignment and deliver on shared objectives.
- 5-8 years of experience driving program management and business operations for engineering organizations with over 250 employees. Expertise in managing large portfolios of programs, covering strategy, execution, and governance, to ensure delivery within target timelines, costs, and scopes.
- Skilled in building and evolving operating systems for engineering organizations to scale effectively. Capable of quickly learning and adapting systems and processes for a dynamic, rapidly growing environment.
- Demonstrated experience in learning new technologies and/or new domains and/or new functions. Experience using Gen AI and driving Gen AI initiatives for productivity improvements and innovation.
- Demonstrated experience in building and managing a high-performing, cross-functional, global team of program managers and technical product managers across multiple locations.
- Proven ability to foster a team culture of ownership (founder mindset), accountability, innovation, strategic thinking, data-driven approach to problem solving, learning, strong execution, proactiveness, adaptability and continuous improvement.
- Experience creating materials, presentations, and reports for C-level executives. Ability to understand problems from multiple perspectives and tailor communications for varied stakeholders at different organizational levels. Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills.
- Extensive experience in managing business operations, including workforce planning, project financials, budgeting, program cost accounting, and sourcing practices. Proven leadership in annual planning for complex, cross-functional programs.
- Deep collaboration, analytical and problem-solving skills with demonstrated ability to effectively communicate technical and business issues and solutions at all organizational levels.
- Skilled in conflict management and negotiation to achieve project goals and build trust with stakeholders.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, SharePoint, Copilot) and experienced with Jira Align, Jira, Clarity, and Wiki.
- Strong process orientation with demonstrated knowledge of program and project management methodologies and best practices. Proficient in software and product development lifecycles (SDLC, PDLC), agile, scrum, and lean principles. Proven ability to drive operational efficiencies through automation and process redesign.
- Experience in the payments network is a plus. Knowledge of Visa's financial practices and technology processes is advantageous but not required.
Additional Information
U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY:The estimated salary for a new hire into this position is $192,700 - $265,000 USD which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.
