Staffmark is seeking an experienced Outside Sales Representative for a direct hire opportunity with a growing company in Houston, TX, known for delivering cutting-edge lighting products for diverse environments and applications. Hours & Pay

Pay Rate: Up to $65,000 base salary + uncapped commission

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM (First Shift | Office Hours)

Employment Type: Direct Hire

Extras: Insurance stipend until full benefits are established, plus use of a company vehicle for in-town client visits

About the Role

This Outside Sales Representative will take the reins on an existing book of clients within the lighting industry, with a focus on relationship-building, B2B sales, and order generation. If you're a natural closer with a strong presence, a self-starter mindset, and a knack for consultative sales, you'll thrive in this role!

Responsibilities



  • Grow and manage a portfolio of existing lighting clients
  • Develop new orders and expand client relationships
  • Conduct local and regional travel for in-person sales visits (vehicle provided for local travel)
  • Maintain detailed sales activity and customer engagement records
  • Collaborate with internal operations to ensure accurate and timely order fulfillment
  • Stay informed on product knowledge, market trends, and competitor offerings
  • Represent the company with professionalism and integrity

Requirements



  • Minimum 2 years of lighting industry sales experience
  • Strong business acumen and understanding of the B2B sales cycle
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Goal-oriented with a self-driven, go-getter attitude
  • Professional appearance and conduct
  • Willingness to travel as needed; must have reliable transportation
  • Independent, motivated, and excited to contribute to a growing team
