Overview

The Technical Documentation and Completions Manager is responsible for setup, coordination, implementation, population, maintenance and management of the Project's Electronic Document Management System. In this role you will report to the Quality Manager, lead a team of document control professionals and collaborate with the Construction, Engineering and Commissioning teams.



What you will be doing

    Ensures Project Document Management (PDM) procedures are in compliance with all contractual and other governing requirements.
  • Supervises the Document Control staff and ensures proper training and training material is conducted, developed, and issued for use.
  • Ensures all submittals & Request for Information (RFIs) are processed and input into the Client's eCMS (Electric Construction Management System); ensures the RFI Log & Submittal Register Log is maintained and up to date, monitor the submittal schedule, and status.
  • Develops and implements procedures for electronic transfer of deliverables across project departments.
  • Ensures files are processed and maintained for contract modifications, change order requests and final change orders, contracts, scope changes, and payment applications in an orderly and updated manner.
  • Oversees the logging and accessibility of all drawings and data received from subcontractors, vendors and consultants.
  • Inputs redlines and as-builts into the system, incorporating RFIs and design changes into master contract and shop drawings.
  • Ensure accuracy and quality of all engineering drawings and documents.
  • Supports Construction Manager, Superintendents, and Construction Engineers regarding submittals, RFI's, drawings, specifications, and other project documents.
  • Acts as Quality Control and Document Control representative for all completions and commissioning activities.
  • Coordinates quality control requirements and document control activities for commissioning team, ensuring quality assurance provisions of the Commissioning Standard are implemented.


What we are looking for

  • 10+ years of experience in document control, engineering, construction and commissioning processes.
  • Knowledge of engineering design and construction processes including proven ability in planning, organizing and implementing work priorities to ensure the orderly flow of engineering and construction documentation throughout the construction process.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering and construction drawings and related documents.
  • Proven knowledge of construction documents including handling submittals.
  • Proficiency in Document Control Systems such as Aconex and Fieldwire preferred; Proficiency in other construction industry standard software packages required
  • Ability to provide document control training to project personnel.
