Summary

Coordinates administrative duties associated with daily Esthetics practice operations and acts as a resource to the PSR's regarding Esthetics. Provides esthetics education and support to clerical staff. Functions as the primary Esthetics resource for clerical standard work, EMR scheduling, payment information and other appointment functions pertaining to Esthetics.
Prepares patients for examinations including basic diagnostic interviewing, rooming, administering medications and vaccines (to include Botox), and assisting with procedures within the physician office setting. Provides care to designated patients and care coordination across the continuum. Provides education on prescription medications and clinical concerns under the direction of a provider.
In addition, maintains communication and establishes a professional relationship with skincare clients and patients. As a dual role, will work closely with physicians and staff to market cosmetics tailored to the customer's needs.

Job Duties

  • Oversees the execution of the Esthetics program, including program finances and budgets.
  • Consults with clients and patients about skincare programs and assists with choosing individual and appropriate care. Educates patients on skincare and other products.
  • Performs patient care to include drawing/administration of injectables (such as Botox), and procedures utilizing sound clinical judgment and approved policies/procedures/protocols/techniques, equipment, and supplies.
  • Visits with pre/post operative facial surgical patients for skin preparation, necessary education, prescriptions and post-care for external facial treatments and emotional support.
  • Assesses patient readiness to learn and ensures education materials are current and appropriate; evaluates effectiveness of patient education.
  • Utilizes appropriate and acceptable intervention behaviors and communication styles in order to effectively facilitate teamwork.
  • Intervenes to prevent, minimize, or correct actual or potential patient risks based upon observation of physiological, behavioral, and environmental factors.
  • Complies with monitoring and documentation of daily activities and expenditures as per standards set forth by accrediting bodies.
  • Acts as a resource for patient and family members, listens effectively, and gives and receives constructive feedback.
  • Participates in clinical meetings, and other multi-disciplinary quality service improvement initiatives, assist with service recovery efforts and patient communication.
  • Monitors and maintains inventory of supplies, products, equipment, and medications and reports to leadership.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Graduate of accredited Nursing program.
  • Ability to initiate, accept, and adapt to change within a healthcare setting.
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • Excellent computer skills including EMR, word processing, and Excel.
  • Knowledge of registration, insurance, managed care plans, medical authorization requirements, and referral coordination.
  • Must be self-motivated, friendly, and detail oriented
  • RN - Licensed Registered Nurse_PA - State of Pennsylvania and
  • Esthetician License - State Board of Cosmetology

Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree Bachelor's Degree Nursing
  • 1 year experience as a registered nurse and
  • 1 year experience within a medical practice, salon, or spa.

Physical Demands

Lift and carry 40-50 lbs. Examples: Push/pull patients on bed, stretcher (requires 29 lbs. push force), lateral transfers up to 50 lbs. of the patient's weight. Frequent to continuous standing/walking. Patient transporters can walk 8-10 miles per shift. *Patient care providers may be required to perform activities specific to their role including kneeling, bending, squatting and performing CPR.
