Aptiv is seeking a high energy, top performer to join its Global Legal & Compliance Team in New York City, supporting the Global Compliance, Regulatory & Risk Teams, reporting to the Vice President, Chief Compliance, Regulatory & Risk Counsel

Your Role:

  • Analyzing complex data sets to help identify trends, patterns and potential risks in support of the Global Compliance, Regulatory and Risk Teams.

  • Leveraging data analytics and technology to help to ensure the mitigation of legal and compliance risks consistent with Aptiv's values and commitment to doing "The Right Thing, The Right Way."

  • Designing reports, dashboards and presentations to provide actionable insights and to communicate findings to key stakeholders.

  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to help evaluate and translate emerging regulatory requirements into appropriate processes and workflows.

  • Helping to optimize deployment, usage and administration of legal and compliance technology and tools, including through the use of prioritization methodologies, automation and AI.

Your Background:

  • Bachelor's degree in Data Science or related field

  • 5+ years in compliance data analysis or similar role

  • Experience in a law firm and/or a multinational company

  • Experience working in a corporate legal and compliance environment preferred

  • Proficiency in data analysis and visualization tools, including Power BI and Tableau

  • Attention to detail and accuracy in handling complex and confidential data

  • Ability to work well both independently and as part of cross-functional teams

  • Ability to work on and oversee legal and compliance technology platforms

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English; additional language skills a bonus

Your Role

As a Corporate Paralegal, you will join Aptiv's Global Legal and Compliance team supporting the VP, Chief Corporate Development & Finance Counsel and the Legal Counsel, Corporate & Corporate Development. You will report to the VP, Chief Corporate Development & Finance Counsel and will be located in New York, NY. In your daily job you will:

  • Supporting the VP, Chief Corporate Development & Finance Counsel and the Legal Counsel, Corporate & Corporate Development in corporate development / M&A and finance activities.

  • Preparing or working with service providers in the preparation of a wide variety of documents relating to corporate development / M&A and finance matters.

  • Working with cross-functional teams (e.g., Legal, Corporate Development, Tax and Finance) in the due diligence process of mergers and acquisitions.

  • Keepingthe corporate development / M&A and finance files andforms up to date.

  • Developingandmaintaining relationshipswithother members of the Global Legal and Compliance team and internal cross-functional teams such as Corporate Development, Finance and Tax.

  • Managing outside counsel and other third-party service providers for corporate development and finance matters and helping to keep track of costs.

  • Arranging for document execution, notarization, apostilling and filing.

Your Background

Key ingredients for succeeding in this role are your:

  • 5+ years' experience working as a paralegal or equivalent either in a law firm or a global company.

  • Fully proficient in Word,Excel andPowerPoint.

  • High quality and accuracy of written work, experience managing a complex and varied portfolio of work with moderate supervision.

  • Proven experience working with sensitive and confidential information.

  • Highly organized and motivated self-starter.

  • Confident, assertive and collaborative attitude with willingness to learn and work as part of a team and assist in varied matters.

  • Experience in conducting and distilling legal research and reviewing and drafting agreements.

  • Experience with corporate finance deals.

  • Experience with matter management or similar legal technology tools.

Salary Range: $90k - $140k
