This Position reports to:

Your role and responsibilities:

The EDI Specialist will play a vital role in ensuring seamless electronic data interchange between our business, customers, and vendors. By maintaining, troubleshooting, and optimizing EDI connections, this role will ensure that data is accurately transmitted, mapped, and integrated into our business systems, including SAP and B2Bi platforms. Through close collaboration with internal teams and external partners, the EDI Specialist will drive efficiency, accuracy, and compliance in all EDI processes, supporting smooth business operations.

You will be mainly accountable for:

  • EDI Integration & Support: Manage and support EDI transactions and workflows with customers and vendors. Configure, test, and troubleshoot EDI transactions, including purchase orders, invoices, ASNs, and other document types. Monitor EDI transmissions to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with business rules. Integrate EDI systems (such as B2Bi) with SAP to ensure seamless data flow and business process alignment.
  • Customer & Vendor Collaboration: Work closely with trading partners to onboard new EDI connections and resolve integration issues. Collaborate with internal teams, including IT, supply chain, and finance, to ensure smooth data exchange. Maintain trading partner profiles, specifications, and mapping documentation.
  • Technology & System Management: Utilize B2Bi (Business-to-Business Integration) software and SAP for managing EDI workflows. Develop and maintain EDI maps, ensuring compliance with X12, EDIFACT, and other industry standards. Identify and implement improvements to streamline EDI processes and enhance data integrity.
  • Issue Resolution & Compliance: Investigate and resolve EDI-related errors, failures, and exceptions. Ensure compliance with industry standards, company policies, and regulatory requirements. Provide training and support to internal teams on EDI-related topics.

Qualifications for the role:

Bachelor's Degree - Preferably in Computer Science, Information Technology or Software Engineering with minimum 2 years experience

Preferred Experience Includes: 5 years of experience in EDI implementation, support, or administration, Hands-on experience with EDI platforms (B2Bi, Gentran, CPI), Strong understanding of EDI standards such as ANSI X12, EDIFACT, and XML, Proficiency in EDI mapping, transaction sets, and troubleshooting EDI errors

  • Experience working with trading partners and setting up new EDI connections
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve data integration issues
  • Familiarity with AS2, FTP, SFTP, API-based integrations preferred
  • Knowledge or familiarity with SAP, ABAP, SQL, scripting, or automation for data processing
