Jackson Healthcare implemented Workday HCM and Finance modules in July 2022. The HCM Business Analyst position is a shared service resource that focuses support on our largest staffing company, LocumTenens. This role will work closely with LocumTenens to gather requirements for enhancement requests, as well as support day to day operations and administrative processes associated with Workday HCM.

A preferred candidate will have experience implementing and/or managing an HCM application with functional expertise on HR-related data including Job Profiles, Business Process Framework, Grade Profiles, Worker's Compensation Codes, EEO Categories, and other HR-related data. Workday reporting and integration experience is strongly preferred.

The position reports directly to the VP, HCMS & Compensation at Jackson Healthcare with day-to-day operational support of Locum Tenens.

Reporting & Support Structure:
This role reports directly to the Director of HCMS & Compensation at Jackson Healthcare for strategic technical oversight and alignment with broader organizational goals. Additionally, the position has a dotted-line reporting relationship to the VP of Human Resources at LocumTenens.com, ensuring alignment with both Jackson Healthcare's strategic priorities and LocumTenens.com operational needs.

The Sr. Workday Business Analyst role is part of a shared services model. This structure ensures that LocumTenens.com, as a Jackson Healthcare company, benefit from centralized expertise in Workday configuration, reporting, and data governance. As part of the shared services team, the analyst will collaborate across the JH HCMS team to support Locumtenens.com needs and ensure cross-functional alignment and seamless integration of systems and processes.

Job Summary:
The Sr. Workday Business Analyst will leverage their expertise in the Workday HCM applications to support the HR team in optimizing talent management processes and reporting. This individual will act as the functional expert for HR data management and reporting, working closely with stakeholders to recommend and implement Workday solutions. The ideal candidate will have experience with Workday configuration, reporting, and the talent management lifecycle, including Performance Management, Succession Planning, and Workforce Planning.

Responsibilities:
This is an individual contributor role with no direct reports. Key responsibilities include:

  • Business Requirements Gathering:
    Collaborate with HR partners to gather, organize, and document requirements for HR business processes, particularly related to talent management functions like Job Profiles, Succession Planning, and Performance Reviews. Work with cross-functional teams to ensure comprehensive and clear functional specifications.

  • System Configuration & Maintenance:
    Configure and maintain Workday HCM modules, particularly around Talent Management, ensuring data accuracy and integrity across the system. Troubleshoot configuration issues and propose solutions for optimization, ensuring alignment with business needs.

  • Reporting & Analytics:
    Lead the development, customization, and maintenance of Workday reports, including creating complex ad-hoc reports to meet HR and business needs. Experience with BIRT reporting is preferred, as well as expertise in Workday Report Writer. Ensure reporting accuracy and provide insights into key talent management metrics.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration:
    Serve as the primary liaison between HR, IT, and other departments to ensure that Workday solutions align with HR's operational needs. Drive collaboration to enhance system functionality and ensure it meets both tactical and strategic business objectives.

  • Testing & Documentation:
    Create and document test cases for system configurations and updates, perform testing to ensure functionality, and maintain a record of configurations and enhancements. Specifically, work on UAT (User Acceptance Testing) and provide post-implementation support to ensure that changes are properly validated.

  • Process Improvement:
    Actively seek opportunities to streamline HR processes using Workday. Identify inefficiencies, propose system enhancements, and ensure best practices are followed, ensuring that HR processes align with business needs and technological capabilities.

  • User Support:
    Provide ongoing support to HR and other functional teams, troubleshooting issues, answering questions about system functionality, and guiding users on how to maximize Workday's capabilities. Offer user training as needed.

  • Data Governance & Integrity:
    Support the management of HCM data integrity by monitoring data accuracy, assisting with data imports/exports, and ensuring compliance with organizational standards and regulations.

  • Continuous Improvement:
    Stay updated with Workday updates, new releases, and best practices. Recommend system enhancements, updates, and new functionalities that align with the organization's goals and focus on improving Workday's overall efficiency.

Education/Certification

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business, Computer Science, or Management Information Systems (MIS), or related work experience. A Master's Degree is a plus.

  • Workday HCM Certification(s) (highly preferred).

Experience Required

  • 4+ years of experience supporting full-suite HCM systems (Recruiting, Onboarding, Talent Management, Absence & Time Tracking, HCM Core, Compensation, Performance & Rewards, Succession Planning).

  • Project management and system implementation experience highly preferred.

  • Proven implementation and post-go-live support experience with Workday.

Skills & Abilities

  • In-depth knowledge of Workday HCM configuration and functionality, particularly in Talent Management modules (e.g., Performance Management, Succession Planning, Workforce Planning).

  • Expertise in system implementation, configuration, and reporting (BIRT or Workday Report Writer).

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

  • Ability to translate complex business needs into functional specifications for technical teams.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to collaborate effectively across teams.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment and proactively resolve issues.

  • A deep understanding of HR processes and ability to leverage Workday to improve those processes.
