The
OAUF Administrator/Technical Specialist will be responsible for the
administration, configuration, and support of Oracle WebLogic Server
environments hosting Oracle Utilities Application Framework (OUAF)-based
applications, including Customer Care and Billing (CC&B), Meter Data
Management (MDM), Smart Grid Gateway (SGG), and their integrations via
Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) and CC&B to MDM Integration (CCB2MDM2).
The role involves ensuring high availability, performance, and security of
these critical utility applications while providing technical expertise in
implementation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field of study, from an accredited college or university. In lieu of a degree, equivalent combination of education, experience or certifications may be substitutable on a 1:1 basis;
  • Minimum of seven (7) years of experience overseeing complex environments or advanced applications
  • Experienced WebLogic
    Administrator or Technical Specialist in enterprise environments.
  • Hands-on
    experience with OUAF-based applications (CC&B, MDM).
  • Proven experience with Oracle SOA Suite and middleware
    technologies (BPEL, OSB, JMS).
  • Experience with CCB2MDM2 integration and
    synchronization processes.
  • Familiarity with Oracle Utilities applications
    solution is a plus.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.

Job Purpose:

The
OAUF Administrator/Technical Specialist will be responsible for the
administration, configuration, and support of Oracle WebLogic Server
environments hosting Oracle Utilities Application Framework (OUAF)-based
applications, including Customer Care and Billing (CC&B), Meter Data
Management (MDM), Smart Grid Gateway (SGG), and their integrations via
Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) and CC&B to MDM Integration (CCB2MDM2).
The role involves ensuring high availability, performance, and security of
these critical utility applications while providing technical expertise in
implementation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.

Primary Functions:

WebLogic Administration:

  • Install, configure, and maintain SOA12c and Oracle
    WebLogic Server 12c for OUAF-based applications.
  • Manage WebLogic domains, clusters, and server
    instances to ensure high availability and scalability.
  • Perform patching, upgrades, and performance tuning of
    WebLogic environments.
  • Configure JDBC data sources, JMS queues, and security
    realms for OUAF applications.
  • Monitor WebLogic server health, logs, and performance
    metrics, resolving issues proactively.

CCB, MDM Application:

  • Install and configure
    Oracle Utilities Customer Care and Billing (CC&B) 2.5 and later
    versions, Meter Data Management (MDM) 2.1 and later versions, and Oracle
    Utilities Application Framework (OUAF) 4.3 and later versions.
  • Support deployment and configuration of OUAF-based
    products, including CC&B, MDM, and SGG, on WebLogic servers.
  • Understand OUAF architecture, business objects, and
    metadata-driven configuration to assist in troubleshooting and
    customization.
  • Experience with batch processing. Configure
    Thread Pool Workers and optimize batch processing using the BEdit tool
    ,TPW startup, and cache management
  • Collaborate with functional teams to implement
    business rules and UI extensions using OUAF Configuration Tools.

CC&B and MDM Integration:

  • Install and configure Productized integrations like
    CCB2MDM2.
  • Strong experience with the configuration SOA JMS
    servers , queues , Data sources and troubleshoot CCB2MDM2
    integration, ensuring seamless data synchronization between CC&B and
    MDM.
  • Configure and maintain integration components
  • SOA and Middleware Management:
  • Install, configure, and Administer Oracle SOA Suite
    for integration between OUAF applications and external systems.
  • Configure and monitor SOA composites, BPEL processes,
    and OSB services to support utility workflows.
  • Ensure robust middleware performance for integration
    points, reducing latency and errors.
  • Configure SGG adapters and ensure integration with MDM
    for usage and event data loading.

System Maintenance and Troubleshooting:

  • Perform root cause analysis for application and
    integration issues, providing timely resolutions.
  • Implement backup and disaster recovery strategies for CC&B, MDM environments.
  • Ensure compliance with security standards, including
    SSL configuration and user authentication.

Documentation and Collaboration:

  • Document configurations, processes, and
    troubleshooting steps for WebLogic and OUAF environments.
  • Collaborate with development, functional, and
    infrastructure teams to support project implementations and upgrades.

Technical Requirements:

  • Middleware Administration: Oracle WebLogic Server
    (11g/12c/14c), Oracle SOA Suite, OSB, BPEL, JMS
  • Oracle Utilities Applications: CC&B 2.5+, MDM
    2.1+, OUAF 4.3+, SGG, CCB2MDM2
  • Batch Processing: BEdit tool, Thread Pool Workers
    (TPW) configuration, TPW startup, cache management
  • Integration: SOA composites, web services (SOAP/REST),
    XML, Oracle Service Bus
  • Database: Oracle Database, SQL, PL/SQL, JDBC
    configuration
  • Scripting: WLST, Python, Shell scripting
  • Tools: Oracle Enterprise Manager, Splunk
  • Operating Systems: Linux, Unix and Windows.

Ability To:

  • Ability to make arithmetic computations using whole numbers, fractions and decimals, compute rates, ratio and percentages;
  • Ability to use Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word, etc.) and use standard office equipment (computer, telephone, etc.).

Education/ Certification/ Years of Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field of study, from an accredited college or university. In lieu of a degree, equivalent combination of education, experience or certifications may be substitutable on a 1:1 basis;
  • Minimum of seven (7) years of experience in one of the following based on assignment: overseeing complex environments or advanced application experience with understanding of functional processes;
    • Application experience as described above must include a minimum two (2) years of experience with Oracle Utlities CCB or MDM (Meter Data Management) version 2.4 and above.
