The ideal intern candidate will be committing up to 20 hours per week for a part-time, temporary summer internship. The candidate will work in the office alongside and be mentored by a licensed engineer; no remote work is allowed. The primary duties of the Transit Intern are to provide project engineering/project delivery supports with a focus on transportation projects and public transportation clients throughout the Southern California Region. Anticipated work tasks may include; Work on a team with other project engineers on the detailed design of urban and rural transit projects, provide assistance with the creation and submission of technical reports, specifications and calculations, and perform other duties as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate Engineering program
- Attention to detail
- Possess strong problem-solving and communication skills
- Basic Microsoft Office skills
- An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must
Preferred Qualifications
- Prefer 2 years completed toward degree with 3.0+ GPA
- Demonstrated knowledge of software packages related to field of study/industry
