The Optum Enterprise Epic Services team is building an innovative, comprehensive Epic services capability using the collective expertise of our clinical, consulting, delivery, technology and operations teams. Our Center of Excellence, located in Nashville, TN, is bringing together some of the greatest minds in the industry to further our mission of making the health system work better for everyone. Primary Responsibilities:



  • Designs, writes, creates, and maintains curriculum and adoption materials, including multimedia deliverables, to be used with in-person and virtual instructor-led training, self-paced online learning, and other system adoption initiatives for a variety of audiences as assigned
  • Incorporates instructional design best practices and adult learning theories to address a target audience's learning needs
  • Supports, designs, and maintains technical training environments needed for education delivery including support of the Epic Credential Training Program Trouble-shoot issues related to scenarios and system training environments
  • Collaborates regularly and closely with application and build analysts and teams so that educational design is consistent with workflows and application build
  • Participates in the recruitment, onboarding, and credentialing program for assigned Credentialed Trainers
  • Trains, mentors, and communicates with Epic Credential Trainers
  • Assists with the content to build out the Epic program course catalogs and course schedules
  • Ensures all scheduled classes are covered with appropriate lead instructors and support teams
  • Assists with the completion of the Epic training calculator
  • Develops and analyzes assessments, evaluations, and other feedback mechanisms to determine the effectiveness of education deliverables and delivery, providing recommendations for and/or instituting improvements in accordance with best practice and adult learning theory to achieve education goals
  • Supports role mapping and training logistical planning
  • Develops communication related to education efforts for deployments, upgrades, optimizations and other system changes as assigned
  • Maintains understanding of workflows, policies, procedures, and constraints in core clinical or business area(s) of responsibility
  • Successfully completes and maintains certification(s) in assigned Epic applications and modules
  • Other duties, including analyst build in certified or proficient applications, as assigned
  • Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the field
  • Regular and predictable attendance is an essential job function
  • Performs other related duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:



  • Epic certifications/proficiencies in Radiant Principal Trainer Certification
  • 3+ years Epic application experience
  • Subject Matter Expert (SME) in Radiant/Radiology
  • Proven excellent time management, organizational, and prioritization skills and ability to balance multiple priorities
  • Proven solid analytical andproblem-solvingskills
  • In-depth knowledge of EpicEMR and the fullimplementation lifecycle of Proven epic's suite electronic medical record applicationsfrom conception through development into production
  • Demonstrated ability to translate user requirements into system specifications
  • Demonstrates a solid ability to build partnerships and influence others. Proven to work across team, group and business boundaries to drive commonality and reusability in solution to real-world problems



Preferred Qualifications:



  • Epic Cupid or Epic Optime Certification
  • Knowledgeable in policies and procedures related to the Radiology operational functions
  • Proficiency with Excel, Visio,PowerPoint andSharePoint
  • Proven ability to demonstrate and have a history of team management (informal or formal), cross-team communication and leadership skills

The salary range for this role is $71,600 to $140,600 annually based on full-time employment. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
