The Omni Boston Hotel at the Seaport is located in the center of the bustling Seaport District. The AAA Four Diamond rated hotel boasts 1,054 finely appointed guestrooms with 52 suites, seven delectable dining experiences, a scenic rooftop pool, a luxury Breve Spa, and more than 100,000 square feet of meeting and event space allowing to provide each guest a unique and memorable experience. Grab the reigns and help shape the future of the Seaport's best sporting experience- The Sporting Club, an illustrious sanctuary deserving of the Seaport District. A place for tastemakers, urbanites, and sports enthusiasts to congregate, network, drink, dine, and create traditions in a distinctively intimate and modern sporting environment. Located on the first floor of the Omni Boston Hotel at the Seaport, the restaurant offers contemporary food and a curated cocktail-driven beverage program. Working alongside the Director of Food & Beverage and culinary team, our new General Manager will be responsible for the day-to-day management of all aspects of the restaurant operation, in accordance with hotel standards. The General Manager will direct, implement, and maintain an impeccable service and management philosophy which serves as a guide to respective staff.

Working at The Sporting Club is not your average F&B experience, and no two days are alike. One day you'll be working with the Executive Culinary Team on menus, staff management, and outlet Operations, and the other you'll be working with the Marketing team on video/photo shoots, media/influencer visits, and exciting entertainment activations to continue telling the restaurants story. Responsibilities

    Manage day to day operation to consistently inspect sports bar and lobby bar to ensure that the correct standards are being maintained.
  • Responsible for ensuring a level of high-quality cleanliness, service, food quality and presentation.
  • Establish steps of service for all outlets and monitor associates to ensure compliance.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation awareness standards. Prepare daily for health department and Ecosure inspections.
  • Responsible for cleanliness and organization of all restaurant space.
  • Maintain up to date knowledge of local and international market trends to create restaurant space that is relevant, thereby maximizing sales opportunities.
  • Responsible for the day-to-day operation for all restaurant functions, to include efficient and effective running of all events ensuring operating costs are minimized.
  • Conduct monthly micros audits to ensure correct pricing and accurate associate access levels.
  • Conduct/attend all required department trainings and meetings.
  • Perform any other duties required by senior management.


Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Position requires a minimum of five years progressive experience in Food & Beverage Management, with at least two of these years in a senior leadership position.
  • Strong knowledge of food cost and inventories.
  • Strong knowledge of wine, liquor, beer, and mixology.
  • Strong understanding of forecasting, budgeting, scheduling, checkbook management, productivity, inventory controls, P&L analysis, food, and beverage cost controls.
  • Must possess the ability to manage busy hotel operations.
  • Serve Safe certified food manager | Unexpired TIPs required.
  • Ability to always maintain a positive and professional demeanor and composure.
