Description

We are looking for someone with metalworking experience who will help us grow our business in the Northeast, primarily around Northeast Maryland and Central Pennsylvania. Our target customers are along the I-95 corridor from Baltimore to Wilmington, and along I-83 from Baltimore to York, with some business sprinkled in from Lancaster, PA. Sales experience and the ability to bring on new business will be given preference, but the what's most important is the ability to help our customers with their metalworking tools. Understanding their needs and how we can help them is paramount. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of and experience with metalworking tools as well as outside sales experience. The position requires travel to support customers and regional travel, for factory training, sales meetings, and conferences. Summary of Key Responsibilities
- Build a strong relationship with fabrication/manufacturing facilities, mills, forges, foundries and understand their needs from a technical standpoint, ensuring that a high level of customer satisfaction is maintained.
- Develop, troubleshoot and recommend application of metalworking tools.
- Significantly contributes to new business development and profitability growth by collaborating with the Stellar commercial team.
- Partner with local supplier representatives and Stellar Specialists to create value and improved efficiencies for all customers.
- Develop and maintain a balanced pipeline of customer prospects through networking, referrals, research and cold calling.
- Understand tooling applications provide customers with alternative solutions focusing on our top suppliers.
- Secure orders and opportunities to quote on customer requirements from existing and potential customers.
- Enter all sales and pipeline activity in the company CRM system, Proton AI.
- Entering Documented Cost Savings (DCS) on a daily or weekly basis.
- Stay up to date on metalworking product knowledge and application.
- Plan, organize and schedule territory development.
- Respond to changing market conditions that contribute to long-term sustainability.
Qualifications
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Knowledgeable with cutting tools, oils, coolants, lubricants, etc.
- Mechanical aptitude
- Ability to interpret complex information
- Passion for helping people solve dynamic problems
- Strong organization, planning, prioritizing abilities with diligence
- Comfortable working in a sales-driven environment
- Proficient with MS Office, specifically Outlook and Excel
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Self-motivation and ability to work independently are essential
- Willingness to flexibility to travel overnight, specifically for training and sales meetings
- Valid driver's license, own transportation, and satisfactory driving record
Experience
- Technical experience from working in Manufacturing/Metalworking industry
- CNC Machining Experience required
- Outside sales experience preferred
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent
