We are looking for a Controls & Integration Strategy Manager to support our Advanced Manufacturing Engineering team by leading the development and execution of control systems strategies. As a Trex Manager of Controls & Integration Strategy, you will be overseeing the integration of higher-level systems, such as artificial intelligence, visualization and analysis, and industrial internet of things (IIoT) platforms. You will ensure that these systems work seamlessly together to optimize performance, data flow, and decision-making across diverse manufacturing environments.

RESPONSIBILITIES



  • Control Systems Strategy Development

    • Lead the design and implementation of control strategies for electrical and automated systems, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and technical requirements.


  • Higher-Level Systems Integration

    • Enterprise Integration: Manage the integration of higher-level systems such as SCADA, MES, and IIoT platforms with existing control systems (e.g., PLCs, HMI, sensors). This includes ensuring real-time data flow, monitoring, and analytics for improved decision-making and operational efficiency.
    • Data Synchronization: Ensure seamless communication and data synchronization between control systems and business-level applications, enabling real-time access to critical operational data for management and optimization.
    • Cross-Platform Coordination: Lead the integration of disparate control systems into a unified ecosystem, facilitating interoperability and efficient workflow between different layers of control (e.g., field devices, PLCs, SCADA).
    • Advanced Analytics: Implement data analytics platforms to leverage data from higher level systems for predictive maintenance, process optimization, and performance analysis across the organization.


  • System Design and Optimization

    • Continuously assess and improve control systems for optimal performance, reliability, and scalability, particularly focusing on the integration of advanced technologies and systems.


  • Collaboration and Stakeholder Communication

    • Work closely with engineering, IT, and operations teams to ensure the integration of control systems supports overall business objectives.
    • Communicate integration strategy, milestones, and outcomes to stakeholders, including upper management and external partners.


  • Standards, Compliance, and Safety

    • Ensure that all integration efforts comply with relevant industry standards, safety regulations, and electrical codes.

EXPERIENCE

Required:



  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Control Systems or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience in control systems engineering, with expertise in integrating higher-level systems
  • Strong knowledge of SCADA, MES, IIoT, PLCs, and HMI systems
  • Proven experience in integrating complex systems, including real-time data communication, data analytics, and system interoperability
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to manage cross-functional teams and collaborate effectively


Preferred:



  • Experience with advanced control strategies such as model predictive control (MPC)
  • Familiarity with cloud computing and edge computing technologies for real-time data integration



BASE SALARY RANGE: $120,000-$150,000 annually

The salary range provided serves as a general guideline for potential compensation for this position. It reflects the base salary and does not account for other benefits or additional compensation opportunities that may apply. This role is also eligible for further compensation through an annual and/or sales bonus, in addition to the base salary.
