About the Role

Parametrix is hiring a Senior Risk Manager to support the high-profile Interstate Bridge Replacement (IBR) Program-a complex, multi-jurisdictional effort to replace the aging I-5 bridge connecting Oregon and Washington. In this hybrid role based in the Portland/Vancouver area, you will play an important leadership role in managing risk throughout project development and delivery. You'll collaborate with client agencies, consultants, and stakeholders to identify, assess, mitigate, and monitor risks that could impact project cost, schedule, safety, or performance.

You Will:

  • Lead risk identification and assessment efforts across technical, financial, environmental, and delivery-related aspects of the IBR Program.
  • Develop and facilitate the implementation of mitigation strategies that align with program objectives and partner expectations.
  • Facilitate risk workshops and manage the risk register with diverse teams and agency partners.
  • Provide ongoing risk monitoring and reporting, and communication of updates and actionable insights to decision-makers.
  • Serve as a senior advisor on risk management strategies, delivery methods, and governance processes for large infrastructure programs.

You Have:

  • A degree in engineering, construction management, project management, or a related discipline.
  • 15+ years of experience in risk management for large-scale transportation or infrastructure programs.
  • Experience with alternative delivery methods (e.g., CM/GC, Design-Build, Progressive Design-Build) and public agency processes.
  • Experience facilitating risk workshops and leading risk strategy development on high-stakes projects.
  • Familiarity with programmatic risk tools (e.g., @Risk, Primavera, Excel-based risk registers) and strong communication skills with executive-level stakeholders.
