We have an immediate need for a Lead Systems Software Engineer to work on our High-Definition Experience team.


Position Overview:

We, the HDX team, empower the virtualization technologies at the heart of Citrix products! HDX technology delivers a "high-definition" experience to users of centralized applications and desktops on any device and over any network. Our team involves an outstanding blend of members that combines the structured vision of a well-established software company with the dynamism and vibrancy of a small startup. You will have ample chance to grow your skillset while working with a variety of ground breaking technologies and tools.


Role Responsibilities:

The software engineer will develop new outstanding cross-platform features and work on improving performance and stability for successful solutions with millions of daily usages. The person will embrace and institute coding standards (e.g. code reviews, logging and instrumentation, static and dynamic code analysis, code coverage, unit, integration tests) within the team. The individual will collaborate with Product Owners and Product Managers, Product Design, DevOps and Product Security teams to understand requirements for software development in a Scaled Agile environment. The engineer will compose and maintain detailed design specifications and component documents.


Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent required.

  • Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in Object-Oriented Programming Language(s) such as C++/C#. Skill in C is also needed. Internships and graduate level work can be counted towards experience.

  • Must have a strong understanding of Computer Science fundamentals (Algorithms, Data Structures, Operating Systems, Networking concepts) more aligned to Systems' Programming.

  • Knowledge of software frameworks and its designs patterns, memory management, client side performance modeling, multithreading

  • Familiarity with client/host design paradigms, protocols and performance tradeoffs


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of Windows kernel and user space architecture and design patterns.

  • Experience with developing for Windows and Linux platforms is highly regarded.

  • Familiarity with automated testing systems and libraries, such as Google Test or Robot.

  • Comfortable with continuous integration and continuous delivery practices.

  • Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git, and software project management tools, such as Jira.

  • Experience in an Agile software development framework such as Scrum, Kanban or SafeAgile.

  • Experience with AWS/Azure/other Cloud Platform.
