What you'll be doing...

As Pricing Senior Manager, you will be responsible for evaluating promotions, value prop refreshes, new products, and other initiatives for financial feasibility, as well as providing strategic insight and partnership to our brand and Finance stakeholders. This role is impactful and highly cross-functional, necessitating a deep understanding of multiple brands and teams across the business.

In this position, you will be accountable for having an in-depth understanding of our Value brands and their ongoing initiatives, as well as translating these initiatives into assumptions and complex pricing scenario models. Assumptions will be built by using market research (CMI), historical analysis, business acumen, and marketing acumen, and may include key KPIs such as churn improvement, base migrations/steps, acquisition volume lift, acquisition plan mix, base plan mix, ARPU, and more. As a Pricing Sr Manager, you will also be accountable for translating the outputs from these models into strategic recommendations and presentations for leadership. You will work closely with the Value brand leads, Finance, and our cross-functional teams across Base Management, Sales, Marketing, and Execution to understand initiatives' impact and communicate assumptions. This role requires excellent analytical skills, presentation skills, experience with data strategy, influencing without authority, high-caliber communication skills and strong business acumen.

Specific responsibilities include:

  • In-depth analysis of business performance, specific to new customer acquisition, customer retention, pricing and base ARPU, product analytics and overall profitability. Includes utilizing multiple databases and data sources to gather necessary insights.
  • Intense collaboration with brand leads across Commercial, Customer Marketing, Finance and Sales to compile various, and sometimes conflicting data, into high-confidence hypotheses that can be used for corrective action plans. Also involves working with above stakeholders on developing assumptions and modeling related to new product and promotional business cases.
  • Partnering with other functions such as Value Business Strategy, FP&A and Market Insights to provide a holistic interpretation of disparate data.
  • Collaborating closely with Commercial leads to develop expert understanding of business drivers and guide them in interpreting insights appropriately.
  • Serving as Commercial/Brand Subject Matter Expert and point person for all data inquiries and requests.
  • Building complex pricing scenario models that can integrate multiple assumption sets and deliver key outputs such as: change in volume, churn, ARPU, revenue. Models will include complex churn cohort modeling.
  • Building assumption sets using data analysis, historical trends, marketing acumen, and market research (CMI). These pricing assumptions often merge financial acumen, operational insights, and a deep understanding of customer experience in order to deliver high-value, insightful assumptions.
  • Delivering quick financial feasibility checks using break even analysis and LTV calculations.
  • Manage timeline and deliverable expectations upstream and downstream; this role's work will impact many teams' timelines.
  • Presenting initiatives, model outputs, and strategic recommendations at an appropriate level of detail for decision making to stakeholders and executive leadership.

What we're looking for...

You'll need to have:

  • Bachelor's degree or four or more of work experience.
  • Six or more years of relevant experience required, demonstrated through one or a combination of work and/or military experience, or specialized training.
  • Experience in either pricing, product management, or FP&A within Telecom
  • Willingness to travel up to 25% of the time.

Even better if you have one or more of the following:

  • MBA
  • 10 or more years of relevant experience
  • Passion for data analysis and transforming analysis into insights and actions
  • Experience influencing cross-functional teams in a matrix environment
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with experience regularly presenting to executive audiences
