What you will do
- Development, analysis, and interpretation of statistical, legal, and accounting information in order to appraise operating results in terms of profitability, performance against forecasts, and other matters bearing on the fiscal soundness and operating effectiveness of the organization.
- Maintains the Company's system of accounts and keeps books and records on transactions and assets. Ensures the accounting procedures are adhered to and based on corporate policies compliant with GAAP.
- Performs technical accounting research as needed to ensure proper treatment of a new or proposed transaction and documents position and justification of treatment.
- Directs the preparation of all financial reports and ensures delivery is completed accurately and timely.
- Ensures annual audits are completed timely, on budget, and with clean opinions.
- Responsible for evaluating the performance of personnel in the Accounting Dept. and recommends training requirements; has duty to keep staff at the highest level of skill necessary to meet company needs.
- Presents results to executive team and other appropriate personnel as needed.
- Maintains entity organizational structure and ensures all entities remain in good standing and compliant with registration, licensing, and reporting requirements.
- Ensures all financial reporting is in accordance with GAAP.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in accounting, CPA Required
- 10+ years overall accounting experience with a minimum of 3-5 years in an organization with at least $25 million in revenue. Required
- experience with company consolidations and intercompany transactions. Required
- accounting experience with publicly traded companies as well as Regulation A capital raise offerings Preferred
- experience with Net Suite Preferred
- Strong leadership and personnel development skills.
- Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills with an ability to present at a high level.
- Advanced knowledge of GAAP, general ledger, and financial accounting systems. Net Suite experience preferred.
- Strong computer skills including proficiency in the use of Excel and MS Office.
- High performing independent thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to pay close attention to detail and maintain confidentiality.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) Required
