Brown and Caldwell has an exciting opportunity for a full-time Organizational Effectiveness Consultant to join our growth-oriented professional engineering and environmental consulting office improving our organization's capacity to change and achieve greater effectiveness by streamlining functions and processes, enhancing collaboration and skills, eliminating redundancies, and improving outcomes. The Organizational Effectiveness (OE) Consultant will help the business by identifying areas for improvement, and implementing strategies to enhance efficiency, productivity, and employee engagement. Your main priority will be to support several of the organization's major programs that drive best in class enterprise-wide change management, talent management, and development strategies and processes related to: transformational change, organizational design, team effectiveness assessments, talent strategies and innovative solutions to address development needs.

Detailed Description:



  • Partnering with the business to lead Transformational Change: Collaborating with Business Operations, the Enterprise Program Office (ePO), Shared Services and HR leaders. This involves consulting, discovery, facilitation, team chartering, team dynamics, psychometric assessments, organizational design, talent review support, communications, coaching, change management and risk methodologies.
  • Evaluating the effectiveness of organizations and teams: Provide consulting and coaching to internal clients when needed by identifying areas for improvement to address short, mid, and long-term business needs, and implementing solutions to enhance talent management, improve organizational effectiveness, focus on our people and execution of strategies and goals.
  • Championing organizational effectiveness principles: Evaluate by conducting thorough assessments and analysis of organizational structure, processes, culture, and performance to identify strengths, weaknesses, and areas for improvement.
  • Organizational Development: Support Strategic HR Directors and HR Delivery Partners by providing them with the coaching and expertise required to meet their clients' needs, facilitating team meetings, workshops and brainstorming sessions intended to clarify roles, interactions, RACI, and processes. Provide guidance and support to leaders on developing their teams and improving leadership effectiveness.
  • Change Management: Apply effective change management and collaborate across functions to ensure alignment and adoption of the new ways of working. Lead major Enterprise (ePO) change management initiatives/projects to ensure smooth transitions and adoption of new structures, systems, and processes. Provide mentoring and guidance to internal change advocates.
  • Communicating and Partnership: Effectively communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders, fostering collaboration and buy-in and ensure that initiatives are effective and are moving forward.
  • Partner with Business Units, Shared Services and HR leaders to evaluate the effectiveness of organizations, identify areas for improvement, and implement solutions to enhance talent management, improve organizational quality, speed, and execution of strategies and goals.
  • Staying current with industry best practices and innovations in organizational effectiveness and applying them within the organization.
  • Managing multiple projects simultaneously while meeting all deliverables.


Desired Skills and Experience:



  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, Human Resources, Organization Development, or a related field preferred.
  • 3+ years of HR, Talent Management, Training, or OD, experience required.
  • 2+ years of experience managing enterprise-wide projects/programs preferred and/or projects across functions.
  • Proficient in change-management, organizational development, and program facilitation.
  • Insights Discovery accreditation preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to partner with HR Business Partners and Business Leaders to assess needs and implement initiatives.
  • Ability to communicate, build relationships, and influence at all levels of the organization.
  • High level problem-solving capabilities and the ability to make decisions within broad guidelines and policies.
  • Full responsibility for project outcomes, including identifying potential risks, implementing solutions, and continuously improving processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Experience implementing company-wide talent management programs
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • This position requires a customer service oriented, self-motivated, responsive individual who can multi-task and work independently as well as in team environments, often under deadlines.
  • Demonstrated flexibility and experience with problem solving, fostering teamwork, managing change, and providing direction for staff essential for this position.
  • Up to 30% travel


Salary Range: The anticipated starting pay range for this position is based on the employee's primary work location and may be more or less depending upon skills, experience, and education. These ranges may be modified in the future.

Location A: $88,000 - $120,000

Location B: $97,000 - $132,000

Location C: $105,000 - $144,000
