About the Role:

The Associate Marketing Manager, Professional Technology and Business, is a dynamic and strategic marketer who shapes how cutting-edge tech and business content reaches professionals eager to advance their careers and general interest readers looking to enhance their lives. This role combines creativity with analytical thinking to develop marketing campaigns that showcase our renowned technology and business books to the right audiences. You'll collaborate with editors, authors, and sales teams to create compelling campaigns that highlight the transformative power of our content in today's rapidly evolving world. This position offers the exciting opportunity to influence how tomorrow's tech leaders and business innovators discover the knowledge they need to succeed.

The Associate Marketing Manager will leverage deep curiosity of technology and business trends to identify opportunities, refine messaging, and build engagement with our professional community, and, importantly, provide expert guidance to our authors to help them leverage their platforms to reach their business, personal, and sales goals. Our ideal candidate brings marketing experience with a passion for technology or business, excels at building relationships, and can translate complex topics into compelling marketing narratives. You should be comfortable analyzing campaign performance, working across teams, and continuously finding new ways to connect valuable content with professionals who need it most.

How you will make an impact:

  • Develop and execute strategic marketing plans for technology and business frontlist titles and high-profile backlist titles that support revenue targets across multiple sales channels.
  • Build effective working relationships by collaborating across functional teams including editorial, sales, content and design, rights, and global colleagues to ensure successful campaign execution from pre-launch through post-launch.
  • Drive growth of digital presence through strategic social media campaigns, content marketing, and email communications that increase engagement with tech professionals and business leaders.
  • Generate B2B leads for enterprise solution teams through targeted campaigns focused on corporate training and professional development opportunities.
  • Maintain regular communication on high-profile title progress, including coordinating with global teams on launch strategies and market positioning.
  • Participate in key author meetings with technology experts and business thought leaders, delivering timely and professional responses to author inquiries and supporting their marketing efforts.
  • Create compelling marketing assets including digital and social media content, sales collateral for authors, and targeted email communications that resonate with professional audiences.
  • Provide marketing perspective on new manuscript submissions, participating in editorial discussions to identify emerging technology trends and business topics with strong market potential.
  • Work closely with publicity teams to coordinate integrated marketing efforts for key book launches.
  • Manage departmental budget effectively, tracking campaign performance and optimizing marketing spend for maximum impact.

The range below represents Wiley's good faith and reasonable estimate of the base pay for this role at the time of posting roles either in the UK, Canada or USA. It is anticipated that most qualified candidates will fall within the range, however the ultimate salary offered for this role may be higher or lower and will be set based on a variety of non-discriminatory factors, including but not limited to, geographic location, skills, and competencies.
