General information:



  • Compensation: $19.25 per hour
  • Must be 21 years or older
  • Ideal candidate resides within a 20-mile radius of Grand Ledge, MI
  • Schedule is Sunday from 11 a.m. - 12 a.m., Tuesday from 11 a.m. - 1 a.m., Thursday 11 a.m. - 12 a.m.
  • Company vehicle provided for the route; tablet and cell phone provided


General Purpose:

Transport and collect samples, distribute supplies and monitor coolers and ice machines at all assigned customer locations.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:



  • Collect and transport samples from all assigned customer locations to the central laboratory for testing according to the schedule
  • Keep lab shipping and receiving supervisor informed of any requests or concerns brought to the couriers' attention by customers
  • Record sample and cooler information on appropriate forms for delivery to laboratory
  • Report any situations that arise in the course of the collection run (delay enroute, accidents or vehicle breakdown)
  • Maintain vehicle mileage reports and sample collection log to include arrival and departure times
  • Maintain assigned vehicle in good working order. Advise management of needed maintenance and mechanical problems as necessary
  • Clean and maintain sample coolers at collection locations and service log tags as necessary
  • Sample collection routes run overnight, and occasional overnight stays possible

Education and Experience



  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Must obtain any certifications/licenses required by regulatory agencies as a condition of continued employment



Knowledge, Skills and Abilities



  • Ability to communicate with all levels of personnel to ensure customer needs and requirements are met
  • Must have basic proficiency using technology (laptop, tablet, cell phone)
  • Valid driver's license with no significant restrictions or violations
  • Must be able to read, write and speak English
