Job Summary Operate crushing plant and material handling equipment at our Lippert aggregate location efficiently and safely. This is a union position. Starting union rate is $18.79 Main Responsibilities Promote safe work practices and an excellent safety culture Responsible for safe and efficient operation of all assigned equipment Complete daily inspection and maintenance checklist Participate in pre-shift safety huddles Responsible to follow all onsite MSHA and environmental requirements Perform routing maintenance and any necessary equipment repairs as needed Responsible for timely reporting of incidents and accidents to supervisor Responsible to inform Plant Superintendent or Managers of any potential safety hazards Skills Ability to operate equipment efficiently Able to communicate supervisors and peers Self-motivated with the ability to quickly learn new procedures and processes Independent worker as well as being a strong team member Adaptable to changing conditions Able to perform some heavy lifting Welding and fabricating experience preferred Experience working at heights Physical Requirements Working outdoors in a variety of weather conditions Employee will stand, walk, or sit for extended periods of time Able to use of arms, hands, fingers and legs for extended periods of time Will be required to lift and handle objects Comfortable working at heights Company Benefits Health insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Company paid life insurance and optional dependent life insurance at employee cost Company paid short term disability and optional long term disability at employee cost 401K plan with company match Annual 2% company contribution Employee Assistance Program Colas Inc. and its subsidiaries are an Equal Opportunity Employer.
