The Dean's Office within the School of Engineering and Applied Science (SEAS) at the University of Virginia (UVA) seeks applications for a Finance Generalist. The School of Engineering and Applied Science consists of 9 departments across the field of engineering. The school has seen tremendous growth in student population and faculty, as well as in its research expenditures in recent years. Reporting to the Senior Finance Associate, the Finance Generalist will work closely with the Finance and Budget team as well as Dean's office areas and departments. Finance Generalists are hybrid positions, responsible for a variety of professional level work across various financial disciplines. They possess a solid financial background, either gained through work experience or education, which allows them to assume a wide range of duties across multiple areas, including accounting, budget, payroll, financial aid, financial analysis, purchasing, or treasury. The Finance Generalist has responsibilities that are supportive of the Senior Finance Associate and involve working closely with this role.
