Aircraft Support Technician overview: The primary responsibilities of the Aircraft Support Technician will be to assist the Maintenance Operation by positioning aircraft to/from the gates/hangar/parking ramps. Movement of ground support equipment and checking for arriving and departing aircraft at the MSP hangar facility. The technician will also be responsible for the operation and fueling of powered ground support equipment as well as working in the tooling distribution and ACC tower for communication of aircraft moves. Work Environment: This job operates in the maintenance hangar, ramp area and ACC tower operations. This role is routinely exposed to all weather elements. Physical Demands: Work is performed while standing, sitting and/or walking. Requires the ability to communicate effectively using speech, vision and hearing. Requires the use of hands for simple grasping and fine manipulations. Requires bending, squatting, crawling, climbing, reaching. Requires the ability to lift, carry, push or pull medium weights, up to 75 pounds regularly. This position will also be required to lift to 100 pounds on occasion. Requires activities involving being around moving machinery, exposure to marked changes in temperature and humidity, and exposure to dust, fumes and gases. Additional Notes: Must be able to obtain MSP SIDA badge and customs seal. Must have a valid driver's license.
