Job Description

Reporting Relationships:

The Paint Lead will report to the Production Control Manager.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Understand, adhere, and demonstrate to the company's commitment to QUALITY and SAFETY!
  • Experience in paint and chemical processing highly preferred
  • Lead the department to ensure Safety, quality, productivity, team member accountability
  • Ensure of any inappropriate use or damaged equipment for corrective action as needed
  • Review, as applicable, shop travelers to determine required paint types, parameters and verification of completion of previous operations
  • Ensuring all paint maintenance equipment and materials are maintained in good working condition and that calibration is current for items requiring calibration prior to each use
  • Documenting nonconforming spray gun and related equipment to support accountability
  • Responsible for ensuring paint inventory accuracy (collaborate with purchasing in effective implementation and maintenance of inventory cycle counts)
  • Train and support paint mixers as required
  • Maintain a working knowledge of quality assurance procedure requirements as they apply to the mixing of paint operation
  • Review board priority board, shift hand-off, and department schedule and develop plan for shift
  • Conduct Stand-up with responsible department (s)
  • Develop and turn in Projections to Planning and Supervisor
  • Set-up Priority Boards and complete shift hand-off for incoming shift
  • Ensure inventory is staged and matches priority boards, and housekeeping checklist is complete
  • Conduct Shift Hand-off with incoming/departing Shift
  • Lead the department to ensure quality, productivity, discipline, and safety
  • Ensure documentation of nonconforming jobs in accordance with established procedures
  • Ensure all processing paperwork, i.e. shop travelers are completed and routed with the finished work from one processing area to another
  • Maintain regular and punctual attendance according to shift-times or a pre-arranged work schedule
  • Perform other duties, as assigned

Requirements:

  • Experience in Aerospace metal processing highly preferred
  • Communication Skills
  • Proven ability to lead
  • Ability to lift a maximum of 40 pounds
  • Computer literate

Required Experience:

3+ years related experience

For informational purposes only, the range of pay for this role is $25.00 to $30.00 US Dollar (USD) Hourly based on a variety of factors. For informational purposes only, this role is eligible to participate in the Company's Quarterly Cash Bonus Plan, paid out at the quarterly bonus factor of 1X the Company's bonus multiple, based on the Company's performance in the applicable quarter . Employees will receive 80 hours paid time off every year. Employees will also receive 10 paid holidays. Employees (and their families) are eligible to participate in the company's medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance. Employees are eligible to enroll in the Company's 401(k) plan.
This position requires use of information or access to production processes subject to national security controls under U.S. export control laws and regulations (including, but not limited to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and the Export Administration Regulations (EAR)). To be qualified to work in this facility, a successful applicant must be a U.S. Person, as defined in those regulations, and able to supply evidence of that qualification prior to starting work or be authorized to receive controlled information under a specific license or permission from the relevant government agency.
