Seeking experienced painter to complete high level finish work. Presents experience and knowledge of painting, surface prep and other coating material. Painter ensures request are in line with campus standards and design. Prepare and maintain equipment, supplies and structures. Represents the department as a trade expert, answers question, including but not limited to



  • Techniques, finishes, standards, timeline and coordination of work.
  • Calculate the amount of material needed per job.
  • Protects all nearby furnishings and building material before and during every job
  • Moves necessary materials around jobsite
  • Prepares surface for painting by washing, scrape, sanding, or other means
  • Skilled in use of caulk, putty, cements, joint tape, cleaning, appropriate sealer, filler, and compounds
  • Applies various finishes to building, rooms, or other structures, includes primers and sealers.
  • Remove old coating as necessary
  • Mix, match and blend colors or oils to obtain desired colors and consistency
  • Clean up worksite debris and detail.
  • Assist other trades in daily activities and responsibilities.
  • Ability to coordinate, oversee and inspects work performed by contractors to meet the highest standards of workmanship on occasion.
  • Must present the ability to execute high quality outcome of task under stressful circumstances such as last-minute deadlines or other difficult situations.



Education / Experience :

High school diploma or equivalent experience.

3 years Commercial painting experience or equivalent work

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:



  • Proficient in various painting techniques and finishes; familiar with painting tools and brushes
  • Skilled industry knowledge of applications and appropriate coating for metal including structures exposed to adverse weather and moisture
  • Must be able to coordinates, plan, estimate material and time from blueprints, drawings, onsite evaluations, and/or oral and written instructions
  • Maintains, cleans and store tools and equipment
  • Must be able to climb and erect ladders, scaffold
  • Must be able to work at heights of 20 feet and above
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs.
  • Ability to bend, stretch, twist, reach with body, arm and/or legs
  • Keen attention to detail and ability to see at close range
  • Ability to follow oral and written instructions
  • Must be able to work independently
  • Excels a positive customer experience
  • General computer and typing skills



Required Licenses/Certifications:

Requires a valid and current driver's license with a clean driving record for the last 3 years and no major violations within the last 5 years.
