Summer Intern - Laboratory

Regular Full-Time | First Shift

Summary:

This position is responsible for the support of various laboratory functions. The duties of this position represent routine procedures that are carried out independently.

Attributes/Responsibilities:

1. Demonstrates and supports core values
2. Conducts basic procedures that support other operations in the laboratory
3. Prepares lab ware for procedures
4. Performs standard operating procedures (e.g. aliquoting and digestions)
5. Performs data entry activities
6. Operates basic laboratory instrumentation and equipment
7. Follows written and verbal instructions
8. Performs other duties as assigned

Typical Education and Experience Required:

2 years of chemistry/biology working toward a four-year degree in the sciences.

Working Conditions:

This position may require constant standing, bending, lifting, finger/hand manipulation; potential for exposure to chemicals; exposure to odors and fumes.
