Job Overview

The University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music (CCM), a nationally prominent comprehensive college for the performing and media arts, seeks a full-time, on-site Production Office Manager for the Media Production Division Media Production Office and various Media Production Studio Facilities.

Essential Functions

  • Manage and oversee the Media Production Division Production Office, specifically the scheduling and provision of all media production equipment to students, staff and faculty. This will include the management and maintenance of online scheduling software for reservation of Media Production equipment and facilities.
  • Develop and implement all protocol and procedures specific to media production equipment and operations.
  • Manage the Division's student employees and work schedules.
  • Schedule, manage and maintain all Media Production facilities: Television Studio and Control Room, Audio Recording Studio and Control Room and Microphone Locker, CCM XR Studio and Control Room, all Digital Editing and Sound Design Computer Workstations, Mobile OLED TV Monitor, and Podcasting Suites. This includes locking and unlocking all facilities for student, staff and faculty use.
  • Work with Media Production Division Head on all divisional initiatives that involve media production support. Communicate/coordinate activities with Media Production Program Coordinator and Student Office Workers.
  • Manage the annual Production Office budget.
  • Provide technical specifications and consultation for purchase of media production equipment and supplies; may include evaluation and implementation of new technologies, to include software, hardware, network tools and peripheral equipment.

Additional Essential Functions

  • Collaborate with other CCM Departments, including CCM IT and CCM Recording Production. Notify CCM IT of all computer software/hardware issues.
  • Occasionally provide or oversee photography and video services for MPRO programs, events, and activites for use in promotional materials on the CCM/MPRO website and all CCM/MPRO social media sites. This includes producing, directing, shooting, editing and captioning of all photos and videos.
  • Work with other CCM Academic Programs such as Acting, Commercial Music Production and Theatre Design and Production to occasionally provide media production equipment and student support for collaborative or related projects and productions.
  • Perform related duties based on Divisional need. This job description can be changed at any time.

Required Education

  • Bachelor's Degree in Media related field
  • Seven (7) years of relevant work experience and/or other specialized training can be used in lieu of education requirement.

Required Trainings/Certifications

  • May require certification or training in media production equipment and software used in the Division.
  • Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite, Sony and Black Magic cameras
  • Ideal familiarity with DANTE, AVID, Unreal Engine, AJA, Black Magic, Ross, and Grass Valley products

Required Experience

Three (3) years of experience must be in media production and design.

Physical Requirements/Work Environment
  • Office environment/no specific unusual physical or environmental demands.
