The Department of Civil, Environmental, and Geospatial Engineering (CEGE) at Michigan Technological University (Michigan Tech) invites applications and nominations for a faculty position at the instructional track, assistant teaching professor level in the field of environmental engineering. Michigan Tech CEGE is searching for outstanding candidates who can add to the existing teaching strengths.

Responsibilities
|
Teach undergraduate and graduate courses. Develop curriculum. Support program assessment activities. Contribute to Department, University, and external professional service activities. Integrate safety practices into daily activities and commit to learning about continuous improvement strategies and applying them to everyday work.

Required Education, Certifications, Licensures
|
An MS degree in environmental engineering, civil engineering, or a closely related field - OR - A BS in environmental engineering, civil engineering, or a closely related field, coupled with extensive industry experience.
Passed FE Exam, and have Professional Engineer Credentials or the potential for licensure soon after being hired.

Required Experience
|
Five (5) or more years of industry, consulting, or governmental agency experience.
|
Desirable Education and/or Experience
|
Educational experiences in environmental process engineering and environmental data collection and analysis. Design experience in the area of environmental engineering. Face-to-face and/or online teaching or training experience in their area of expertise.
|

|
Broad expertise in environmental engineering.

|
Demonstrated ability or potential to connect industry, consulting, or governmental agency experience to student projects.
Demonstrated success in working with persons with a wide variety of personal characteristics and viewpoints.

Work Environment and/or Physical Demands
|
The work environment is that of a typical office and/or classroom setting. The noise level in the work environment is usually low to moderate.
