Contribute to the success of the Department of Orthopedics and Rehabilitation by assisting with trauma and hip research projects. This will include coordination of all research projects including both clinical and biomechanical/basic science projects, statistical analysis of data, submission of protocols to the Institutional Review Board (IRB), and drafting and assisting in the writing/editing of sports medicine/orthopedic surgery manuscripts, book chapters and textbooks. This position may also assist with research coverage for afternoon clinics on Monday - Thursdays, depending on need. Some early AM meetings may be required as well. Education Requirements: Bachelor's degree in a STEM field or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Master's degree in bioscience, medical science, or other relevant field highly desired. Experience Requirements: * Experience conducting research. * Experience with writing academic reports, abstracts, and manuscripts. * Proficient in MS Office computer software applications. * Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including ability to communicate with patients for data collection and research protocols. * Attention to detail, ability to multi-task, organize priorities, and work independently to meet deadlines. * Ability to work well within a cohesive team. * Working knowledge of human physiology/anatomy, orthopedics, or pharmacology. |
