Description

Third Shift



  • Reads and interprets blue prints to plan set up and operation of all types of machine shop tools.
  • Plans, sets up and operates typical machine shop machine tools, producing parts to tolerances and company specifications. Uses typical machinist's hand tools.
  • Operates tool room machinery in a safe manner during build process.
  • Performs set up and testing of toolroom equipment under power, testing for mechanical difficulties, tracing to their sources and correcting problem.
  • Makes repair parts if not commercially available nor available from company central inventory stores.
  • Uses full range of precision measuring and gaging tools to perform inspection before start of job. Performs repair, rebuilding or overhaul work of manufacturing or service equipment from blueprints, company manufacturing manuals, and written or verbal instructions.
  • Frequently works with other tradespersons such as tool and die, maintenance, electricians, etc.
  • Treats all other team members with respect and dignity.
  • Performs other essential functions as assigned.
