Job Description
Job Overview The Quality Coordinator understands and applies standard operating procedures, test methods, manufacturing instructions, lab practices, and the Quality Management System to ensure that processes are carried out in a carefully controlled manner to produce quality products and retain customer satisfaction. Job Dimensions
- Operate sophisticated lab equipment and make fact-based decisions regarding product quality.
- Ensures that products produced meet all work order, quality, customer and internal specifications.
- Oversees material testing per specification, records test results and dispositions material as pass/fail per results.
- Identifies non-conforming material, communicates findings, and processes paperwork to accurately track, identify, and quarantine according to procedures.
- Maintains accurate data, record keeping and filing from work order initiation throughout the process to final review and closure.
- Maintains housekeeping standards in the Quality Department and other areas as appropriate.
- Leads QA Product Safety Team
- Accurately performs duties according to procedure to execute test methods, product specifications, design reproduction orders, work order reports and other required functions.
- Utilizes computer for assorted tasks to include job history file production, non-conforming report entry and verification of received materials.
- Assists Quality and Technical personnel during job history investigations and material studies.
- Submits product samples and/or certifications to customers and Amcor Sales and Technical personnel, as required.
- Provides support to the manufacturing floor to aid in the efficient production of quality products.
- Assists in the training of quality and production personnel to include the accurate performance of test methods, work instructions and standard operating procedures.
- Database administration and management, Customer Non-Conformance management for Suppliers, Material Hold (Internal), Internal audit, and various other systems.
- Coordinate the various tasks and projects of the Quality Technicians.
- Leads supplier and customer quality audits.
- Participates in the resolution of quality issues, to include: Customer complaints, raw material defects, work-in-process issues, and procedural and regulatory issues.
- Maintain the Quality Documentation System and assist in the development and implementation of procedures, work instructions, forms, etc.
- Perform other duties and accept additional responsibilities as assigned by Quality department management.
Principal Accountabilities
- Ability to communicate mechanical or quality issues to supervisors, operators, Quality and Technical personnel.
- Ability to read specifications and instructions and fill out proper documentation and quality forms in English.
- Well-developed interpersonal skills for functioning effectively in a team-based environment.
- Math skills equivalent to high school level for calculating formulas and measuring products.
- Clear understanding of and ability to employ measuring tools (Tape measures and rulers), including conversion of results to metric or standard units.
- Ability to perform computer data entry, manipulation and retrieval functions.
- Ability to maintain continuous attention to details and accuracy in job performance.
- Capable of self-direction, ability to work productively unsupervised.
- Oversight of Lab Equipment PM's

Qualifications/Requirements Formal Qualifications and Experience
- Minimum of 3-years experience in a manufacturing environment with responsibility for quality products
- HS diploma or equivalent/Technical experience
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities/Behaviors
- Vision requirements of the job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision and ability to adjust focus to perform all functions safely
- Ability to read/see/visually discriminate up to 1/16 of an inch
- Must have the ability to distinguish color, must pass a color blindness test.
