Inova Blood Services is looking for a dedicated Donor Operations Supervisor to join the team. This role will be full-time variable shift Monday Through Friday.

Job Responsibilities:


  • Oversees assigned department or functional area to ensure it is performing effectively, training team members, managing performance of team members, and delegating tasks.
  • Performs administrative responsibilities necessary to comply with Inova Health System, Blood Donor Services, FDA, AABB and CAP policies, procedures, standards, and regulations
  • Participates in the training and mentoring of existing and new team members.
  • Visits mobile drives and fixed site locations on a weekly basis. Monitors Quality Improvement reports monthly and discusses with staff.
  • Helps to monitor turnover/vacancy rates and develops strategies for successful outcomes.
  • Collaborates on performance reviews and team member counseling, coaching. Monitors collection staff to ensure successful collections and operations on blood drives and fixed sites through weekly visits.

  • Licensure -None Required
  • Certification - None Required
  • Experience - 3 years of office experience
  • Education - Associate's degree (or relevant experience in lieu of degree equivalent to 4 years)
  • Work Schedule - Monday through Friday Variable Shift
