To work #bettertogether, we operate with a hybrid working model. For those near a hub location, we gather in our office locations three days a week (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday). For the remaining days, we work from home.

The Financial Planning & Analysis Manager will play a pivotal role in shaping the financial strategy of Press Ganey. Reporting to the VP of Financial Planning and Analysis, this position will lead individual business units in budgeting, forecasting, and performance analysis in a dynamic SaaS healthcare environment. The ideal candidate will thrive in a PE-backed setting, delivering actionable insights to optimize ARR, manage burn rate, and support M&A diligence, all while partnering with cross-functional teams and PE stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Budgeting & Forecasting: Own the annual budgeting process and monthly/quarterly forecasting, incorporating SaaS metrics (ARR, MRR, churn, CAC, LTV)
  • Financial Modeling: Build and maintain sophisticated models to project revenue, expenses, and cash flow, including scenario analysis for growth initiatives, pricing strategies, and PE exit scenarios.
  • Performance Analysis: Analyze financial and operational KPIs, providing variance analysis and recommendations to leadership on cost control, revenue optimization, and profitability.
  • PE Reporting: Prepare board decks, investor updates, and ad-hoc analyses for PE sponsors, ensuring alignment with their ROI and EBITDA targets.
  • Strategic Partnership: Collaborate with Sales, Product, and Operations teams to align financial plans with go-to-market strategies, product launches, and healthcare regulatory shifts.
  • M&A Support: Assist in due diligence, valuation, and integration planning for potential acquisitions or partnerships, a key focus in our PE-backed growth strategy.
  • Systems & Processes: Leverage SaaS tools (e.g., Workday, Adaptive Insights, PowerBI) to streamline FP&A processes, enhance data accuracy, and drive automation.
  • Ad-Hoc Analysis: Provide insights on capital allocation, pricing adjustments, and market expansion, balancing healthcare industry nuances with SaaS scalability.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field; MBA or CPA preferred.
  • Experience:
    • 5+ years of FP&A experience, ideally in a SaaS or tech-driven company.
    • 2+ years in PE-backed environments (preferred).
    • Proven track record supporting high-growth firms with $20M+ ARR.
  • Skills:
    • Expertise in SaaS metrics (ARR, MRR, churn, CAC-to-LTV ratio) and financial modeling.
    • Strong grasp of healthcare economics (e.g., payer mix, regulatory impacts).
    • Advanced Excel skills; proficiency in FP&A tools (e.g., Adaptive Insights, Workday, Power BI).
    • Experience with PE reporting and investor relations a plus.
  • Attributes:
    • Analytical mindset with a bias for actionable insights.
    • Comfortable in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment typical of PE-backed SaaS firms.
    • Excellent communicator, able to distill complex data for non-financial stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience scaling FP&A functions in a Private Equity environment.
  • SaaS Focus: Emphasizes ARR, churn, and CAC-core to SaaS finance-while avoiding generic manufacturing metrics.
  • PE Context: Highlights investor reporting and M&A, reflecting PE priorities like unit economics and storytelling
  • Tone: Professional yet approachable, mirroring a high-growth tech firm's culture.

The expected base salary for this position ranges from $115,000-$135,000. It is not typical for offers to be made at or near the top of the range. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, and, where applicable, licensure or certifications obtained. Market and organizational factors are also considered. In addition to base salary and a competitive benefits package, successful candidates are eligible to receive a discretionary bonus or commission tied to achieved results.
