SUMMARY
Coordinates with Directors for various departments including Maintenance, Stores/Inventory, Quality Control and Records to create, revise and distribute the scheduled routine maintenance plan and work packages, sets task priorities and disperses work packages to Main Base and MX Line Stations.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

In close coordination with Director of Maintenance (DM), Director of Quality Control (DQC,) Stores and Quality Control Records, creates and releases work packages to include Daily, Weekly and A Checks, sets priorities, and sends paperwork for each flight day's scheduled work and required routine MX to Line Stations and MRO's. Develops and sends Daily/Weekly Planning sheets for the line stations.

Coordinates with DM and MX Control to develop maintenance plan and adjusts as necessary due to unexpected issues.

Ensures that the maintenance, inspections, tools and materials needed for Airworthiness Directive compliance are scheduled to meet FAA and Company requirements.

Reviews all work packages for required parts, tooling and other specialized manpower or logistical requirements.

Monitors airframe inspection compliance and component time changes and advises appropriate departments of change/inspection due.

Ensures that plan for the work matches with routing for Aircraft, and if not, works with Dispatch and Maintenance Control to resolve.

Reviews Minimum Equipment List and insures items are listed on the work package for troubleshooting and rectification. Coordinates with Stores to ensure all needed parts and materials are sourced and purchased for the clearing of the MEL/CDL/DMI.

Reviews Daily Status sheet. Reconciles discrepancies on the report with Records, Maintenance and/or Maintenance Control. Ensures tasks coming due are planned accordingly.

Verifies all completed work packages have been returned from the completed event to insure all tasks are complete and signed off correctly.

Reviews and verifies compliance on all maintenance-related tasks within FAA mandated time frames.

Maintains an accurate log of planning watch items by aircraft. Coordinates with Maintenance and Quality Control for final work accomplishment

Provides input to MX Control for daily turnover communication of critical tasks and items of importance.

Develops systems and procedures necessary to effectively plan and schedule all maintenance requirements

Performs other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

A High School Diploma or GED required.
Preferably holds a current mechanic certificate with airframe and powerplant ratings.
At least one year working in the aviation industry with a knowledge of Maintenance or CAMP programs for large transport category aircraft.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to respond to inquiries or complaints from regulatory agencies. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from all levels of the organization.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as engine oil quantity utilization, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

REASONING ABILITY:

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram for and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:

Current FAA Airframe and Powerplant desired.

OTHER SKILLS and ABILITIES:

Familiarity with FAR's, company policies and procedures, CAMP or MX Inspection Programs
