The Clinical Practice Data Analyst, 340B Compliance assists in the management of 340B compliance and program integrity to ensure 340B program compliance.

Duties & Responsibilities:


Operations
  • Build and interpret reports, as appropriate, to monitor and improve 340B Program compliance and performance.
  • Develop reports that can be used to educate staff and assist management in tracking the overall impact to the organization.
  • Perform routine compliance audits, resolve discrepancies, and identify causes of discrepancies using excel or a comparable data management program.
  • Maintain 340B self-audit records and provide summaries of findings.
  • Support and maintain the split-billing/third party administrator systems and the functions to be performed.
  • Evaluate patient eligibility for qualified and non-qualified patients by reviewing patient medical records, insurance plans, and, if applicable, hospital status.
  • Assist in assessing opportunities for cost savings and system improvements to yield higher compliance.
  • Assists in participation and support quality improvement initiatives and comply with all legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Identifies data discrepancies, demonstrates trends using data visualizations, and makes recommendations to improve the program's financial stability.

Personnel
  • Assist the 340B Assistant Director with Pharmacy Technician and Extern payroll entry, scheduling requests, and monitoring of attendance to ensure daily operational coverage.
  • Assist the 340B Assistant Director in hiring and training of 340B team, if applicable.

Communications
  • Establish effective working relationships with internal/external working counterparts (IT, Pharmacies, Pharmacy buyers, finance, credentialing, and others) to facilitate productive information exchanges to improve program efficiency.
  • Efficient conflict resolution by identifying and involving the appropriate team members who can assist in resolving the issue most efficiently.
  • Effective communication skills and timeliness of communication with 340B Assistant Director and multidisciplinary tea
  • Perform other related duties and participate in special projects as assigned.


Minimum Qualifications Required:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Science, Information Management, Healthcare Information, Nursing, Information Technology, Computer Science, Statistics, Finance, Management Engineering, Business or closely related fields or as required by the position to be filled in the area of specialization inherent in the position may be required.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of CMS data requirements for core measures, meaningful use, and similar metrics
  • Proficient computer skills with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Ability to learn and utilize new software applications for data entry and reporting
  • Experience with coordinating projects and team dynamics to successfully achieve team goals
  • Effective communication
  • Effective time management skills
  • Analytical problem-solving skills with attention to details
  • Demonstrated experience with complex data management from different systems and audits (e.g. Excel Advanced level: pivot tables, lookups, automation; Data Visualization: Tableau, Power BI)
  • Minimum one year of 340B experience
  • Completion of 340B University on Live/On Demand
  • Knowledge and proficiency in EPIC or other electronic medical record
  • Experience in 340B Split Billing/Third Party Administrator Software and/or manual 340B operations.
  • Previous drug purchasing and/or wholesaler experience
  • Experience training employees
  • Experience in software implementation
