This is a Full-time, varied 12 Hour Shift and varied location with Scripps System Wide Resource Team. Travel to 4 hospital sites and 3 urgent cares required. Resource team explained below* Bonus Eligible*

Our Scripps System-wide Resource Services (SSRS) department supports the entire Scripps Health system. As a member of the resource team, you can fill vital roles on assignments throughout the system to provide critical coverage for employee's leave of absences, sick calls, and peak Service demands while gaining experience in a variety of environments.

Responsibilities include:

* Providing direct patient care within the scope of practice.

* Patient care encompasses assessment, planning, implementation of a care plan, and evaluation of patients' progress toward expected outcomes.

* With quality, patient- and family-centered care in mind, the RN takes primary responsibility for the care provided to patients by the Care Team under their supervision.

*Resource Team ED RN. These nurses are full time benefitted staff ONLY hired to a varied shift start time, contracted to one site for 4 weeks, up to 6 months at a time to fill a leave of absence or open position (vacancy). The shift the nurse works during that contract depends on the request of the unit. Example: RN Mary goes out on maternity leave, she is a night shift RN, the SSRS ED RN would be contracted to that ED for 13 weeks (and sometimes are extended) on night shift to cover this need. Once the contract is complete the RN would be assigned to cover another contract which could be to fill a day, mid-shift, or night shift need. These RNs can be assigned to any of the following sites: Encinitas ED , Green (a.k.a Torrey Pines) 24 hr. Urgent Care, La Jolla ED, Chula Vista ED, San Diego ED, Rancho Bernardo Urgent Care, or Jefferson Urgent Care (day shift only for RB & Jefferson) depending on the need at that time, staff do not get to pick the site. These RNs receive a 12% differential [current rate $8.52/hr.] on top of their based rate for being on the resource team and are still eligible for night differential for any hours worked 7PM-7AM (10% night shift differential: $7.10/hr.). If for some reason SSRS does not have a specific contract request from a site, SSRS would temporarily 'contract' the resource nurse to the SSRS float pool until a request from a specific site came available, however, this rarely happens.

$4K New Hire Retention Incentive and $3K Relocation if moving from 100+ miles.

The following are not eligible for hiring incentives:



  • Internal candidates
  • Rehires that left Scripps less than 3 years ago


In order to remain eligible for your retention incentive the following criteria must be met



  • Must remain in original hired FTE Status and Shift (if specified in offer letter)
  • Must remain in original department/specialty
  • Must remain in original Job Title
  • Transfers to other locations will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis and may result in forfeiting remaining incentive bonus unless specifically noted in your offer letter.



Qualifications

Required Qualifications:



  • Registered Nursing Degree from an Accredited School of Nursing
  • Active California RN license
  • American Heart Association BLS, ACLS and PALS Healthcare Provider Certifications
  • 18 months of recent adult emergency services experience
  • Be able to speak, read and following instructions in English
  • Have excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrate positive behaviors


Preferred Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's degree in nursing
  • CEN - Certified Emergency Nursing
  • TNCC
