Garver's exceptional Human Resources team is looking for an Employee Relations Specialist.Under the general supervision of the Employee Experience Leader, this position plays a critical role in supporting Garver's culture and fostering positive relationships between employees and managers. This position is responsible for promoting a positive work environment, addressing, and resolving workplace issues, and ensuring compliance with employment law.
Key Responsibilities:


  • Serve as a point of contact for employees seeking guidance on workplace matters.
  • Assist in the performance management process, including guiding managers on handling performance related issues, performance improvement plans, and terminations.
  • Conduct thorough employee investigations into employee relations issues and recommend appropriate actions.
  • Stay informed about employment laws and regulations to ensure organizational compliance.
  • Provide advice to supervisors and employees as they relate to compliance with regulations and laws.
  • Conduct stay and exit interviews.
  • Prepare reports on employee relations for management review.
  • Develop effective relationships with supervisors and employees to promote a positive employee experience.
  • Provide support in other areas of the Employee Experience team as needed.


Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business, Finance, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience of progressively responsible HR experience.
  • Knowledge of federal, state, and local legal requirements related to employment law.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
