General Information:

The position provides support to the Office of Advancement Gifts & Records within University Advancement by assisting with special projects related to record management and gift processing to ensure accurate maintenance of constituent data. Timeliness, accuracy and a strong attention to detail is required. This position directly supports the Director and Assistant Director of Advancement Gifts & Records.

The position's core responsibility is to assist with the office's day-to-day operations. This is a part-time position, working no more than 20 hours per week over the course of the academic year. Successful candidates should process strong project management skills, proven interpersonal, problem-solving and organizational skills, strong database skills, process a keep eye for detail, and work well independently.

Duties and Responsibilities:

* Supports all aspects of gift processing and receipting and ensures integrity of Advance database.
* Daily tasks include:
-Day to day maintenance of constituent records including address and contact updates,
deaths, marriages, births, bad addresses, etc.
-Responding to departmental emails and constituent record update requests
-Assists with generating honor and memory acknowledgements
-Assists with matching gift processes including the support of first letter generation and
documentation requests associated with matching gifts
* Protects and enforces the privacy of donor records, including management, organization and security of donor files.
* Assist with data clean-up projects as needed and assigned by the Director.
* Fulfill other duties as assigned by the Director or Assistant Director.

Qualifications:

* Proficient software skills in Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), email, internet and database familiarity.
* Preferred experience with Adobe Acrobat Pro DC.
* Ability to work with sensitive and confidential information and use discretionary judgement and conduct and speech.
* Proven problem-solving and database skills.
* Ability to set and keep a defined work schedule within regular business hours of our
office.
* Strong attention to detail is a must!

Conditions of Employment:

Students may apply to a graduate assistantship prior to being accepted into a graduate program. However, to be eligible to receive an assistantship upon entry into a graduate program, the following criteria must be met:

The student must be conditionally or unconditionally accepted into a graduate program. Students who are provisionally accepted will not be eligible until they achieve conditional or unconditional acceptance into their program.

The students must have an official transcript on file indicating completion of a baccalaureate degree from an accredited institution or agency

After receiving an assistantship, the student must maintain at least a 3.0 graduate GPA in order to retain or reapply for the assistantship.

These are minimum criteria. Graduate program coordinators have the right to impose additional criteria if they see fit.
